@@maxcrss2845 True, the rules have forced the defense to tackle low for fear of a helmet to helmet flag so they go low and the QB slides at the last second to get as many yards as he can...it's lose-lose for the defense now.

@@nicholassolomon6920 The NFL has literally classified themselves as a “sports entertainment” business exactly how WWE did in order to justify them rigging games. This came from a lawsuit that a jet fan filed who was upset that he bought season tickets and his team lost every game to the Patriots who were allegedly cheating without receiving punishment. The NFL basically justified this by saying they can control the outcome of the game via it being entertainment.

The hit on kyler Murray didn’t warrant a flag. They throw a flag for anything on offensive now. It’s almost impossible to play defense.
I came here to say the same thing. The only reason that his head was involved in the contact is because HE ducked the tackle.

@@Nexuhss you fail to realize that the defender has the responsibility of avoiding head contact, even if the offensive player ducks his head.
Here’s another way of looking at it, if you want to old-school wail on people, you’re likely to get a penalty. So many people afraid of change.
@@steviesevieria1868 if the runner ducks the ball and puts their head into the tacklers head, who’s fault is it? By that logic, as a runner, I would try to make helmet to helmet contact whenever I could in hopes of picking up a free 15. How does that make any sense?
@@Nexuhss there’s a difference between ducking to avoid a blow and initiating contact. Sometimes the rules aren’t for simpletons.

Imagine being Fields and just about every game you get totally destroyed. I swear, this guy will have critical head trauma by the end of the year.
And then not only that, you don't know if the information you're getting from the booth from the coaches is actually good information or not. Telling him there's 13 men on the field and then him trying to make the throw so he can get a free play and then you find out there's actually enough men on the field and it gets picked off I mean. He's just with a very bad team at the time.

I think that last hit on hurts does not deserve a flag. He was already throwing his body for the tackle slightly before or abt the same time hurts went for the slide and it seems that he tried to spin away mid through the motion but was a little late. Btw, it’s my opinion, you can debate. It’s just what I think ❤️

Im an Eagles fan, and I dont even think it shouldve been a flag. If, IF, there wouldve been helmet to helmet contact maybe. They have to stop penalizing defenders who are already doing the most to stop themselves from making a hit. Linemen arent allowed to fall on a QB, and now if a QB slides while youre in the middle of lunging for them, youre at fault. It doesnt make sense

That hit on hurts didn’t deserve a flag. The defender was on his way down to but bfore hurts went down and there was barely any contact. That’s my opinion
This comment is what I saw, also. I've been a fan of Jalen Hurts since his Freshman year at Alabama. The defender was down before Hurts even began his slide, so the defender couldn't have avoided that hit if he tried. Without the flag, Hurts probably would have stood up, helped the defender to his feet, and said, "See you on the next play."

I think the slide hit does deserve a flag, but not because of the hit itself. The hit was soft, but when a QB slides and gives themselves up, no matter what you’ve gotta pull up. “The rules is the rules”

I don’t know what I’m more impressed with, the players adjusting to the new way of tackling, but still laying effective/hard hits without using the top (crown) of their helmets (sometimes they have no choice but to inadvertently use some part of the helmet or face guard), or the refs making a majority of great NON-CALLS this 2021 season (except the Kyler Murray hit. Shoulda been a non-call as well)…..GOOD JOB all!…👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

No I do not think it’s a flag because 1st off, he led with his shoulder and hit Hurts shoulder so thats a legal hit. 2nd he was going for the tackle before Hurts decided to let home self up. He was already in tackle motion and then Hurts slid. It could really go both ways honestly.

Yes that deserves a flag because the rule is you are not allowed to make any contact if a QB gives themselves up and slides. Now if you want to argue if that rule is stupid that’s another conversation…but as far as a penalty based on the rules it will be called every time.

All of those Fields hits in this video are his own fault. On the first one it was a blitz which he needs to recognize and switch his running back to the left side and put on pass block. Second time he just held the ball too long. I’m not saying it is completely his fault, some is coaching, and bad O-line but partially his fault
I would agree with that if that wasn't happening over and over again. I'll give him some responsibility but it's almost like the offensive line just doesn't want to protect him at all.
The fact that he is the second most sacked qb in the league and didnt even start every game this year I really cant say its his fault even 50% of the time. O- line needs to play better thats all that needs to be said
