Aqua Universalis forte is a great performer and an excellent scent. And if you want value for money, dior homme cologne 2014 is a great fresh long lasting fragrance for the really hot days. Also, a rare freshie from montale, soleil de Capri. A nice floral unisex fragrance that is a departure from the usual citrus/aquatic fare that is marketed towards us guys.

Excellent choices. Rasasi Al Wisam Day is a good performing semi-SMW clone that gives out a cool and sweet vibe on a long hot day too as long as you don't plaster yourself in it.
You'll enjoy it, I think. You'll be familiar with it already because of the similarity to others that sometimes get described as being close to SMW. That said, it's got its own twist. Good quality too. Al Wisam Evening is trickier. I like it. I like it a lot but its a bit peculiar and unique. Nothing at all like the shiny bright Day version and probably wouldn't be called a crowd pleasing fragrance by many but still a quirky beaut to me. Thoroughly enjoy your channel.
I am so intrigued by all these dupe companies. Never heard of Parfums Vintage prior to your video. So, I went to their website using the link you provided, and I am a bit dumbfounded. Nowhere on their site do they state which of the famous scents their versions are comparable to. How would one know? Do you just buy blindly based on their description and then realize it’s a good match to something niche you already own?

I have both cedrat boise and lemon line from mancera and for me though cedrat smells good but in terms longevity and fresheness lemon line beats it hands down i did strip test of these. The lemon scent stayed strong even the after 24 hrs

Alot of reviewers kinda dismiss Jimmy choo fragrances but Jimmy choo man intense is in my opinion smells really good it is a little generic in terms of fresh peppery scents but I believe it has both suede and Tonka bean in it which makes it a tad unique as well but the scent fills a room and lasts all day and is only about 60$ for a 3.4oz bottle
How many sprays do you go with the perfume parlours? I've got around 10 spray versions. I like the smell and longevity on most is good but struggle with projection and getting them to pop. How many sprays and where.

On a similar note (and this goes for both companies), why is Pineapple Vintage charging major fragrance house prices when the research & development costs, advertising and office and employee overhead are a minute fraction of what a major house experiences? Several perfume articles state that the cost is about 3% of the retail price of a bottle.
Had a decant sample of 'Mancera' from reputable supplier and I was very disappointed- absolutely nothing like aventus, and smelt very metallic with an overpowering cedar wood ( I think??) base note. Might be just a bad sample or bad reaction with my skin? Really enjoy your vids- keep up the projection
I love Gorse, but VIW is just a little bit better in my opinion. Cedrat Boise turns into a predominately leather scent on my skin, and not a particularly fresh one. Essenza lasts forever, but I have to be in a certain mood for the soapiness. I much prefer Agua de Colonia Concentrada Barberia from Alvarez Gomez' shaving line
I'm almost of the mind that even if one is on the fence about something like Sauvage (edt or edp), shouldn't the possibility that future years might see weakened production batches influence a purchasing decision? Time and again, we've seen fragance formulations disappoint with subsequent batches.

tracer073 I don't what actual plant gorse smell like. But, the frag Gorse smell like somewhat coconut but it has nutty smell to it. I purchased two bottles of it purely based on Mr.Smelly review and I do not regret one bit. I like VIW. If i have to say what I don't like about it is that it has a very waxy vibe. That's why I bought Alexandria's Hawaii Volcano. If you really look for a nice coconut fragrance, you should try Tom Ford Solei Blanc.

Have you smelled Mancera Sicily? I've seen very good reviews and opinions (really nice fresh scent, long lasting, etc..) but for some reason it's not on the hype train. Either way, I will receive a sample shortly and I'll see if I've discovered a gem or not hahah
MrSmelly u r totally wrong. Long lasting depends on weather. In hot weather country smell didn't last for long period but in cold weather it will be totally different.
Can I add in Dylan blue ..if people don't like the sauvage nauseating tones then Dylan blue performs as well but fast forwards to all the great incense and patchouli
So for the neroli portofinos you can get the sprays in the us but you have to spend a certain amount, I bought like 7 different clones and got them shipped to me but I spent almost 90$ us by the end of it so....
I like to experiment with neroliz portofino, in a 10ml decant I go 7ml neroliz and 3ml of something else ..been getting great results with aqua Di gio and amara so far
MrSmelly1977 seems to add the initial brightness that's missing in neroliz portofino. The neroli in neroliz is fantastic quality and longivity is decent so you don't need much of something else but make sure it's a bright one to lift it. Great video btw

Lots of People claim Bvlgari Aqva Amara lasts pretty long (for a fresh one) but I have to say, not really! Don`t get me wrong, I love Aqva Amara, it`s a great n unique scent but the performance is bad! In high summer heat (25C plus) it disappears very very quickly! I usually wear it when I´m in Vietnam, and as you know, it`s pretty hot there and after about 30 minutes, it`s gone, completely! Nautica Voyage on the other hand lasts for hours on my skin!

How Laboratory Parfums are available in Europe and cant seem to find it? About Icon, I really get truly insane performance with the batch from 2016 year, bought a back up bottle from 2017 and it is at least twice as softer, but still above average. Perfect nr 1 pick as it is my favorite from Mancera next to Aoud Lemon Mint and one of the favorite from fruity fresh cents with stunning performance.
Winter perfumes tend to be much heavier, stronger and sweeter which during the summer can be too overpowering and offensive. On the other hand summer fragrances are much lighter and can't stand up to the cold weather.
If you wanted a freshie that's long lasting *and* a cheapie, I'd go with Chrome Legend. I don't normally say this but you could probably blind buy it. No refromulation either so it still has its testicles intact.

Great Intro like always, Dan! Dunhill Icon has very great longevity with high dose of neroli and oakmoss. With 3 sprays I'll get easily 8-10 hrs. 👍🏼😎

How Laboratory Parfums are available in Europe and cant seem to find it?
About Icon, I really get truly insane performance with the batch from 2016 year, bought a back up bottle from 2017 and it is at least twice as softer, but still above average. Perfect nr 1 pick as it is my favorite from Mancera next to Aoud Lemon Mint and one of the favorite from fruity fresh cents with stunning performance.

Just one question for any expert who can answer: what is the objection to use winter perfumes in summer and vice versa?
Winter perfumes tend to be much heavier, stronger and sweeter which during the summer can be too overpowering and offensive. On the other hand summer fragrances are much lighter and can't stand up to the cold weather.

If you wanted a freshie that's long lasting *and* a cheapie, I'd go with Chrome Legend.
I don't normally say this but you could probably blind buy it. No refromulation either so it still has its testicles intact.

I was interested in Dunhill Icon, but didn't bother buying it as I read that recent batches were poor in longevity...reformulation?!

As far as I know, a lot of frags were re-formulated in 2016 due to new laws regarding the usage of oakmoss...
