When I was in the US Air Force. Me and my team were sent to Shemya AFB back in the early 1990s to install telephone cables. It's near those islands they talk about in this WW II film. Kind of got the idea what the weather was like when the fought there. Cold in the middle of summer. Great WW II film. Thanks.

Besides the Battle of Hong Kong, I believe this was the only time Canadian ground forces participated in the Pacific Theater. 1st Special Service Force, the "Devil's Brigade".
