I confess as I have watched your videos over the years, I am so intermittent with my work/life schedule that a weekend Cubase user like me needs as many refresher tips and navigation routes through drop-down menus I can get. Hey Char! Great question… what do you want to do? Maschine is the most fun I e ever had with beatmaking… so I’d start there if that’s your thing. For general pop music full song arrangement and video compositionsomething like Cubase/Logic/Studio One are fantastic… then for anything live looping Ableton has you covered!

hello friend¡ i need to make a playlist in maschine daw with all the instruments for my concerts. Each one has a different tempo. i don't understand how i can do to have all the instruments in the same project. The problem is that the time is adapted to the general bpm. I don`t know if you can automate the tempo or if you can think of any ideas. Thanks¡
Man that's a complex one! I'd head over to the forums for that, I have only used Maschine live a couple times, and as far as I know you can't automate BPM in Maschine. Maybe you could run it inside something like Cubase which can automate BPM and Maschine would change with it... but that's getting a bit convoluted!

If you’re in Cubase, right click on the time ruler at the top and change it to bars and beats!

I make myself play a bunch of instruments every day for at least a few minutes! Every bit helps… and some days I practice longer than others.
It's never too late to start! You'd be amazed at how serviceable of a player you can be in 6 months, a year, etc. In a few years you could be amazing.
