    This is exactly the kind of video I need. I’ve been playing guitar a long, long time, but when I sit down to write I often feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin. A creative process like this helps me stay focused, and I’m always looking for ideas on where to get started (and the tip about NOT going to guitar first is fantastic). Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for this… and I’d welcome the followup video you suggested about adding the melody.

    Thank you. These tips navigating Cubase and approaching an idea musically and thinking in terms of balance are so important. I confess as I have watched your videos over the years, I am so intermittent with my work/life schedule that a weekend Cubase user like me needs as many refresher tips and navigation routes through drop-down menus I can get. Thanks again!!

    • @jefgibbons
      @jefgibbons  Před rokem

      Hey Char! Great question… what do you want to do? Maschine is the most fun I e ever had with beatmaking… so I’d start there if that’s your thing. For general pop music full song arrangement and video compositionsomething like Cubase/Logic/Studio One are fantastic… then for anything live looping Ableton has you covered!

    hello friend¡ i need to make a playlist in maschine daw with all the
    instruments for my concerts. Each one has a different tempo.
    i don't understand how i can do to have all the instruments in the same project.
    The problem is that the time is adapted to the general bpm. I don`t know
    if you can automate the tempo or if you can think of any ideas. Thanks¡

    • @jefgibbons
      @jefgibbons  Před rokem

      Man that's a complex one! I'd head over to the forums for that, I have only used Maschine live a couple times, and as far as I know you can't automate BPM in Maschine. Maybe you could run it inside something like Cubase which can automate BPM and Maschine would change with it... but that's getting a bit convoluted!
