- The word is out that I have a new toy to work with and I was asked to try it out on the local ball field warning track. The track was overgrown and it was a perfect job for the new soil conditioner! I made several passes with the conditioner and brought in a little bit of new material to freshen it up a few spots
I thought it would be a one day job, but mother nature dumped about 40mm (1.5inches) of rain on us about one hour before we were able to finish up.

I love this video with the sounds and camera view.... it is literally eating up the ground!
Great content... Love this video still! Please share more!
Is it weird that when I watch these bobcat videos smoothing the ground, it's very satisfying for me?
Great video except for the rain, LOL. I'm looking forward to getting my new Bobcat soil conditioner. It should prove to be a great investment, Thank you.
I know were this is.its the ball field in Stellarton i played that field many times in my life . Thanks for posting Jim it was good to see the old stomping grounds .
Glad you liked the video Rob! Thanks for dropping by!
Hi Jim, looks great. Did you roll that afterward? Or did the rain do all your tamping?
If you don't mind me asking what price range was this job. Just curious for around my town. As I have many of ball fields this needs. Thanks for the nice video and good ideas of work.
Most people wont put pricing on the net. But you can get a decent idea if you rented the equipment. Secondly, usually there's more than just raking that's going on. I'd estimate $500-750 depending on time. Also being a baseball field, the guy might have even done it for the cost of fuel.
Is that anything more than a power rake? Looks like it did a fine job.
Bobcat calls theirs a soil conditioner but it's the same thing.
How much did this cost aside from the bobcat soil conditioner?
I paid $50,000 for the Bobcat new in 2008.
Easy way to see grade.
It don't lie!
Well now you can see we're the drainage issues are lol
You got that right!
