I have a few harleys and an intruder 1500 but my best and favourite bike is my Enfield 500. I am a big guy too but its extraordinarily comfortable. The put put of an Enfield gets into your psyche.

Ordered the K&N filter/cap from Hitchcock's as well as the 16-tooth front sprocket. Will see how she like those... If you get one, know that you'll be talking to lots of people - they get attention wherever you go...and that's very fun! Moved the shifter up one tooth and also brought the bars back slightly and it's more comfy now. I'm also 6'-4". 230lbs, so now I guess I have to come up with a name for her! Just fun from the first ride. Been smiling ever since, as are my son and buddy who both got one too. We have the Halcyon Grey, Halcyon Green, and Chrome/Bronze. ALL are beautiful! Ride Safe 🙏🏼

I have one here in Australia, the exact same colour except the seats are brown. I sold a Harley Davidson Street Rod to buy my Classic 350 and, ironically, it gets more attention and compliments than the Harley ever did. You can't beat the classic style and old school charm.

I'm as fortune as you to own an XSR155 and a Classic. The Yam I truly believe is an exceptional all round bike (suspension too hard for my liking). However the Yam can't get a look in since the Classic arrived 🤔😀.You have an eye for detail I can see, the seat and plates just look brilliant and make the bike even more period. Personally I would not worry about plod; they are far too busy and will just think it's a restored, reregistered vintage bike, especially with tax disc holder 👍👍.
hey Henry.. if they'd had a chrome and red one in stock I'd have probably gone with that but still happy with the halcyon grey....which is actually blue!
I think the 350 Classic is the prettiest bike on the market and the colour scheme you chose is the best. Gorgeous isn't it! It will free up with the miles and by 8,000kms it will be a fair bit more eager to rev. I get over 100mpg on my Meteor so you should get the same. Get the 16T gearbox sprocket to provide a bit better highway performance.
@@2wheeledwillie395 yes I got the 16T sprocket, DNA performance air filter and a decat conversion. The improved breathing and slightly higher gearing makes motorway riding a lot better. I don’t know how much extra power I get at the top end but I can feel the difference. It’s now absolutely fine at our 100kph speed limit (63mph)
At 48 im going thru my das,,only got my mod 2 to finish,only reason iv got into motorbikes is simply to own one of these,,nothing comes close to the looks of this,,safe and happy riding👍

I have a 500 also called Ernie. I feel just the same way about mine. When riding just for fun, I usually walk past my other bigger, faster bikes. And he’s a keeper too 🙂👍🏼

I made a huge mistake selling Ernie but very quickly replaced it with Charlie my Halcyon Green Classic 350 😊 if yr expectations are lowered (performance wise) then I have to say imo there's no better bike! ...makes me smile, makes people who see it smile ...I've been on the motorway at 70 so it can be done but it's preferred home is smaller roads where it will happily chug along at 55 no problem ...mega comfortable, mega economical...take one out for a test ride buddy!!

I had visions of whizzing off here, there and everywhere - the reality is I’ve been Sunday bimbling around The New Forest (strict 40 limit), Dorset B-roads and the South Hampshire Downs 😂 I’ve also been looking at the new BSA but every owner review (rather than first impressions reviews) all talk of oil leaks and other mechanical or electrical disasters. All too untried and untested for me - I can’t afford to be an early adopter- I’ll be more comfortable with the established RE models. That you sold Ernie and bought another is some endorsement! I’ve also been enjoying the vids from that Scottish chap who took his RE350C around the NC500 and around Skye - so much more appealing than not watching the scenery fly by at speed. I’ve a dealer thirty minutes from me, I think I’ll pay them a visit…👍

It is a marvellous bike - I would say its one of the greats of motorcycling, humble and modest though it and its performance is . . . I'm going to have to get one, I just wish I could decide which colour to go for !
I have the same issue can't decide which colour - The halcyon green - halcyon grey or the chrome red, I tend to be lazy so not sure I could look after the chrome red :-0 plus I ride 52 wks of the year, I am even considering the Signals marsh grey - decisions decisions I really need to decide soon as I desperately want one

I really want one! Out of interest, do you need to swap the number plate back to the standard one for it to pass an MOT? The black & white ones look the part, but from what I've read they're only allowed on actual classic bikes/cars - but didn't know if it was something that was ever actually picked up on.
Hi George... you should get one!! Yes the silver/black numberplate is very illegal! I only use mine for shorter trips! I bought some industrial velcro and put them on both the numberplates so they are mega easy to swap over 😀
I get the need for a period look, but for me the illegal non reflective number plate is unnecessary. UK riders are not known for respecting the law, but safety is a factor here to.... yours!
Congrats! Enjoy the bike! No the front registration sticker is something I bought afterwards, they were standard in the UK back in the 50s/60s so thought it made it look a bit more retro 😀

how do you get away with the number plates ? or are these just for show?
I interchange them...when I'm feeling brave I put the black/silver one on! I've put industrial velcro on the back of them so it's easy to swap 🤣
