Isim Tafdhil The meaning and terms of its formation
• Tafdhil ism, namely ism which is formed to express a comparison (excessive state) between one thing/state and another state
• Isim Tafdhil is formed darl fi'il which shows that there are two things that are allied in one characteristic but one exceeds the other in that trait
• Sometimes, the ism tafdil is also used for two things that have different characteristics
• The Harakat pattern of ism tafdil is divided into two categories: mudzakkar and muannats.
• Mudzakkar wazan, namely following the أفعل wazan
• There are 3 isim with wazan أفعل which are discarded in the use of the hamzah, namely: خير (أخير) , شر (أشر) , حبّ (أحب)
• Wazan muannats, namely following the wazan فعلى
MEANING OF ISIM TAFDIL
• Its meaning can be divided into two:
• The meaning of "more" is only obtained from wazan tafdhil mudzakkar
• The meaning of "most" is obtained from wazan mudzakkar and muannats. However Wazan muannats only has the meaning "most"
TERMS OF ISIM TAFDHIL ESTABLISHMENT
• Formed from fi'il tsulatsy, not ruba'i and so on
• From fi'il mutsbat not from fi'il manfi
• From fi'il Mutashorrif (can be interpreted and not include fi'il jamid)
• From fi'il mabni ma'lum not majhul
• From fi'il tam (not fi'il naqis)
• Can accept the meaning of "More"
• It may not be made of lafadz which shows the meaning of color, defects and decoration
