$100,000 Pyramid 4th Tournament Win!

- This was the 4th Tournament win for the popular TV Show. If I recall, this around the same time that Dick Clark hosted the $25,000 Pyramid in the Daytime. To watch in High Quality, enter &fmt=18 at the end of the web address at the top.
No matter how many times I see them, the Pyramid bonus rounds always get to me. Why did they ever take this show off the air? Best game show EVER!

Well, well, she finally made it up there and won the $100,000. She had gone to the winner's circle 6 times in a row, 3 episodes, twice each day. That's quite a workout!!! But I'm pleased to see that she finally won the money.
BIGGEST WIN EVER IN Pyramid history. The total of $150800 vs, $151400 can be due to the fact of Dick Clarks countless math errors..lol!!!! Way to go Cheryl!!! Although Audrey seemed she was nervous throughout the tournament
Audrey Landers is not only a Dynamic Singer and Actress, but she is an excellent Pyramid Player, and I'll bet that she gave Charlene Tilton and Ken Kercheval some good advices on how to play Pyramid when they were on the show.
Well let me put it to you this way: Audrey Landers helped this contestant do like J.R. Ewing and Strike It Rich with $151,400 making her THE Biggest Winner in the 35+ year history of Pyramid and Charles Siebert on the show was another great Pyramid/Game Show Player.
Amen! The Price Is Right, Family Feud are up there too, but because of how hard it was to win, and because that clock was ticking, when someone won, EVERYONE WAS EXCITED!! Contestant, celebrity, audience, TV viewers!!!

Hey, "anything in San Francisco" was used in the first $100,000 Pyramid tournament, too!
The run this at least once a year on GSN, when they do the New Year's eve marathon of Pyramid. How many did this studio hold? I know TPIR holds about 325, but I bet the other studios were slightly smaller. Wow, seemed like the whole damn audience rushed the stage, worse than the college crowds on TPIR. But a very nice win indeed!

I believe the audience came on stage with the contestant's permission. Maybe to celebrate the moment.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I knew it was the Donny version (which is a little screwy, but that's my opinion) but THIS version, the $100,000, will be on New Years Eve but I wish GSN would put it back in the line-up.
I feel that the reason why Donny Osmond's Pyramid bit the dust was the fact that people who knew how pyramid was expected the same format/design set. When it was release, I was shocked to see the cool technology, but the game format was different... 6 clues in 20 seconds? You HAD to win a total of $25,000 and be quick for the tournament? The categories alone were stupid to me, but some were funny. There was no "here is your first subject.." and the camera angles were off, bouncing too much.
Guess what! They are bringing back Pyramid!

Things in San Francisco was one of the boxes in 2 of the 4, that I have seen, $100,000 wins.
I hope so too....I remember the last category was "THINGS YOU COMMIT"---the winning clue was "A sin."
It was this nail biting drama that made the Pyramid the success that it was.Although it wasn't audience participation friendly,it was way more thrill inducing than Wheel Of Fortune,Family Feud,or Jeopardy ever will be.Donny Osmond's version bit the big one.The modern technology just took away from its' charm,if you ask me.

I would guess that they don't. they are celebrities who are probably paid for their appearance regardless of outcome. although you can never tell based on their reactions. I love that the celebrities get more excited than the contestants.

Boy, this must be the decade where clothes standards for the audience went waaayyyyy down hill. Anyone catch the guy with the loonnngg white tube socks and very short shorts?? Yeeps!!! I miss the shows where audiences dressed up , course we are in a world now where ppl where their beach wear to church! (in winter!! LOL) Kidding about the winter part.

I love it when the gays win $100,000. This win, along with MG McCormick's near-record win were fabulous. Unfortunately, Dean Minerd got his ass kicked by Debbie Seppien in his tournament. Dean didn't make it to the Winner's Circle once. (Out of the 8 attempts, Debbie played 7, Al Rosales played 1).
