      He is in fact the true and original Floyd Lawton of the Arkham universe. The explanation provided for the simultaneous existence of two different Deadshots is that the Deadshot that had been established in the previous Arkham games was the Deadshot from Earth-2, the same Earth that the Lex Luthor the Squad encountered once they travelled to Earth-2 and brought back to their Earth is from. The Deadshot of the main Arkhamverse had retired the Deadshot moniker after his daughter Zoe was born. As a result of the Earth-2 Deadshot continuing to work as a mercenary under the name Deadshot, which by technicality belongs to both of them, it brought a lot of heat down on the original Floyd. To clear his name from what he at the time thought to be just an impostor, as well as to keep his daughter safe from the consequences of the actions of the Earth-2 Deadshot, he took up the role of Deadshot again and after months, he eventually tracked down the other Deadshot. The Arkhamverse Deadshot and the Earth-2 Deadshot engaged in a massive shootout which resulted in quite a few civilian casualties. After a long fight, eventually both Deadshots had a clear shot on the other, and both pulled the trigger. The Earth-2 Deadshot was able to graze the head of the Arkhamverse Deadshot, but was ultimately off by a couple millimeters. The Arkhamverse Deadshot was more successful on the other hand, or at least so he thought. Shortly after the fight had ended, Green Lantern had arrived to arrest the instigators of the firefight. When the Arkhamverse Floyd was confronted by Green Lantern, he had to explain that he was the actual Deadshot, but Lantern only cared about the damge he caused and the lives he took, and so he arrested him regardless. Curiously enough, it was never stated if the body of the Earth-2 Deadshot was ever found.

      To me the biggest gap is how it complicates the timeline, by the time of Arkham Knight both Boomerang and Shark are already dead
      Not to mention Harley had already met Waller more than one occasion by that point but somehow with this game it never happens
      I see the game as either an elseworlds story or a seperate timeline of its own, but never and I mean never will I consider it as a part of the true Arkham timeline, not just because I dislike the game but that it logically makes no sense within the series and complicates all that the true rocksteady had pre established

    I am certain that the other Deadshots were from different universes since the multiverse is a major part of this game and main focus for the DLC.
    The same with the Justice League. That’s why the evil Flash clearly still has a thumb after there was so much focus on Boomerang cutting off his thumb and trying to cut off other thumbs. There were even several closeups of the Flash’s hand and his fingers spread apart.

      I think he may have had theories, but I don't think he believed interdimensional travel was even possible since it's never happened in his universe before. So he probably chalked it up to coincidence. However, if he survived long enough in this universe, he would've come to that conclusion quickly.

      Arkhamverse Deadshot retired when Zoe was born, and she's apparently a teen when this game takes place, so he's been out of the picture since before Batman was even in the picture. So he would have only known one Deadshot, and considering Arkhamverse Deadshot was able to live in peace without being recognized, he probably kept his face hidden. Earth 2 Deadshot was also Floyd, so if anyone did know his name, they probably didn't know his face, meaning any records of Floyd Lawton doing assassinations would probably have been attributed to the Floyd Lawton currently active as an assassin named Deadshot whose face was known, even by Batman, simply because 'multiversal doppleganger' probably wouldn't be the go-to answer for him even if he did find out the Deadshot doing those earlier assassinations was black.

    • @SarcyBoi41
      @SarcyBoi41 Před 3 měsíci +2

      Why would he? Until after Arkham Knight, there was only one Deadshot active at any given time. And since the original wore a mask and gloves his whole career, and the second one had the exact same name, skills and M.O. (due to being another Deadshot from Earth-2 it seems - Lex was clearly lying) Batman had no reason to suspect there were two Deadshots. He's the world's greatest detective but he isn't an omniscient god.

    So, Deadshot we saw in Batman: Arkham Origins, Batman: Assault on Arkham and Batman: Arkham City is actually Floyd Lawton from Earth-2, whose biography, DNA and fingerprints match those of Deadshot from Earth-1 (Arkhamverse), and unlike Floyd Lawton, who We've seen all these years, the REAL ONE is black, and he killed his Earth-2 doppelganger, thereby regaining his identity and reputation back. Well, that's quite a logical explanation for why Deadshot was made black. The only thing I don't understand, however, is why King Shark is alive if he was killed in Batman: Assault on Arkham, and why does his appearance in the game differ from his appearance in Batman: Assault on Arkham? Is one of them also in another Earth?

      I'm one for headcanon, especially with the Arkhamverse, so I try to tie all of the little continuity breaks into a nice little package. My personal, not-at-all-canon, fan theory is this:
      King Shark from AoA was a regular guy who heard stories/myths about the real King Shark and became obsessed with him. He experimented on himself with Shark DNA and who knows what else to become who he is in AoA. He was so obsessed with the legend of the real Shark that he took his real and code names (Nanaue and King Shark) as his own. The KTJL King Shark is the true one from the stories/myths
      Again, that's just my little headcanon that makes sense to me 😂

    Ok so which one was the Arkahmverse Deadshot? If it’s this one fine but why didn’t he show himself in the 15 years before THIS game? Ok he killed him before this game but that’s still over 10 years.

      I think they explain that he was retired at that point and after all the Arkham antics he came out of retirement
