The drums/drum machines on Horror Epics are well epic to say the least. I grew up a metal head back in the eighties (still am) but I remember a friend of mine in high school in 1988 turned me on to The Exploited. It was around Christmas break and he made a copy of Death before Dishonor for me (their most recent release at the time) and it just absolutely blew me away. I remember lifting weights in my basement listening to that album and being pumped beyond belief. I bought Horror Epics in the summer of 89 and to this day I'll never forget the first thirty seconds of that song. The opening bass line, tribal drums, and then Wattie just spewing his aggression on the mic. Horror Epics has a slightly different sound than the rest of The Exploited's albums but it's one of the best if not the best.
Great Album And this and Punks Not Dead are my 2 Favorites by them. Even though I Like all there stuff. Been a Fan of them for 33 years now! Old Man Now and Still Punking Out To The Exploited All The Time. To My Death Punks Not Dead!

good punk tells you by its music it's serious before the lyrics come in, none more so than The Exploited, those ancient drums and well marshalled bass and burning guitar flex like a forcefield of repentant dead warriors. Powerful.
This album is one of my favorites but I have to disagree with you. I loved the thrash/hardcore crossovers of Death before Dishonour, The Massacre, Beat the Bastards, and Fu*k the System.
