Yellowbelly fishing with spinnerbaits below the spillway

There's still a LOT of water coming over the top of the Elmore Weir, and in combination with the warmer weather the extra flow has really fired up the Golden Perch!
Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits are standout lure choices in fast noisy water, as they reflect a lot of light around and make enough racket to get a fish's attention amongst all of the distractions. Alternate between fast and slow retrieves, and add small pauses and twitches to really encourage those extra bites. Bright colours are working exceptionally well right now, but don't be afraid to try darker lures as well.
