Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Greeted by Hundreds Upon Visit to RNLI Station

- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have visited the RNLI’s Mumbles lifeboat station overlooking Swansea Bay.
As part of a series of engagements in Wales, Kate and William watched a lifeboat launch as part of a training exercise, before speaking to crew members about day-to-day life at sea.

Shaun, I think she does see and approves of her son and his English Rose, the King-in-waiting and his Queen Consort-in-waiting. I am an American with most of my bloodline being English, Welsh, and Scottish. I feel such love for this precious Royal couple, and you want to know why? They Love Great Britain and the Commonwealth and the people...it shows clearly in their faces and mostly in their eyes. I do hope the rest of you see what I see. I do hope and pray that I live long enough to see them on the throne. I pray for them and their safety and that of their beautiful children.

I know this is probably going to sound bad, but I love how even when Catherine (and) William are on royal duty they just don't seem to care about time, they stop and take a minute to chat with the people. I of course especially love seeing Catherine getting down to eye level with little kids to engage them in a conversation with her. How lucky for them to have a conversation with a real-live princess/future Queen.
Nothing wrong with that at all! It's what we like! Personal contact, not like some Royals, rushing off, like being around "peasants" is the last place they want to be.
Imagine what it would feel like, if you waited all day to see some person, and they looked at you like you were "a thing", standing in the way of where they WANTED to be?

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are lovely. Those children gave quite the reception. They couldn't get over themselves. They are very classy and I follow them daily although I'm in the States. I've adopted them so to speak.

I clearly remember William and Kate naming the ‘Hereford Endeavour’ lifeboat here on Anglesey in Trearddur Bay, Catherine’s first outing as the future Duchess. It was also February. I think they are great ambassadors of the UK and do a great job. They will always be warmly welcomed here in North Wales.
