I'm scared, recently my 12 year old Lap Band let go after going from 170kgs to 100kgs and now with having 2 bad knees I'm already putting fat back on and I only have non weight loss surgery health insurance.
I feel I can't wait a year before having the surgery so I'll have to pay for the entire surgery using my savings.

Ask your pcp to request exceptional coverage. Even for insurance that doesn’t cover initial surgery, there are paths to coverage for failures of previous surgeries. If that fails, ask if there are any nonprofits with funds to cover this type of situation.

Hi, how are you ? This bariatric surgery is a medical error, just as errors occur in any other profession. I have two acquaintances of mine who died because of this surgery. One had little stomach and when she went to eat a snack, the little stomach she had was unable to digest it, and then she got severe pains in her stomach, feeling sick and died. The other acquaintance of mine, became weak and when she ate, her intestines could no longer retain nutrients from food and she died of malnutrition. And when she was alive, she kept passing out fainting from weakness, even eating and eating right. Her stomach became small and so the body did not absorb food for it to survive. With so little stomach left in it, they cut a part of it out, and didn’t keep the tissue to be frozen, so that if she eventually needed to undo the surgery, put it back in it again. So how do you do it? And there was another one that I forgot to mention. That the internal scar of the surgery became very thin and broke, causing her stomach to fall into her body and she died instantly. I do not know how they have not yet banned this surgery, with so many people who give problems, after they went through it. Not to say them all. Be careful. Why go through this? Dieting, without being radical and exercising, is the best thing. And examine the patient to see why he doesn't lose weight. I currently, when I eat only two tablespoons of rice on the plate and eat at regular times. It helped me a little to maintain the weight. Hugs.

Why copy-paste the same comment to most videos? You should educate yourself about obesity before you say anything insensible. Lots of people tried many diets none worked and the side effects of obesity which are ensured for all are way much more dangerous than surgery complications.

Stop spreading lies. You sound foolish and very uneducated. Sure complications can occur but if they did pass away it's not as you described. And anyone whose done research or know anything medically would realize they can't freeze the tissue and "undo" the surgery by putting it back in again LOL. If you're considering WLS please don't listen to this fool. Attend an informational session, talk to the physician/dietician/etc. and do your own research. But be careful listening to people like this.

You say that because it wasn't you who died, or your family or friends. Be more polite, you don't respect anyone and you don't know anything. If you think you know everything, it is because you don't know anything. Be more humble and less arrogant.

@@tiagot6516 how about you educate yourself and be less ignorant? what you’re describing happens literally less than 1% out of thousands of surgeries performed every day. those who you knew probably died because they weren’t following their diet plans correctly and taking their vitamins like they were supposed to so they didn’t become malnourished. go do some more research instead of spreading misinformation.
