Taking you behind the scenes of my first year on CZcams, and how I made $100,000. I had 0 subscribers a year ago today.
I posted my first video a year ago (October 30, 2019) and wanted to share my general tips/suggestions on growing on CZcams as well dive into how I was able to make over $100,000 in the first year of the channel.
Donât spend so much time âthinkingâ about starting. Just start. I see a lot of people spend tons of money on courses and spend hours and hours âpreparing to start a CZcams channelâ. I would recommend just starting.
I LOVE researching and overanalyzing things (Iâm a lawyer so it comes naturally). I personally spent about 2 months âpreparingâ to launch my channel, but I wish I wouldâve just gone for it. I wanted everything to be perfect, but the reality is, the only way to learn on CZcams is by doing. All of the training and courses and videos you could watch on âhow to CZcamsâ will never measure up to just starting the channel and learning through trial and error. If youâve been on the edge, just start - today.
Also, I get asked this all the time "is it too late to join CZcams?" No, absolutely not. Come on CZcams with a plan and stay consistent. I truly believe the hardest part of CZcams is starting and the second hardest part of CZcams is staying consistent. Both are in your control. The reality is that most people will quit CZcams before they have the opportunity to âblow upâ.
In the video I also give my thoughts on whether CZcams is actually passive income, and how you can build it as a passive income stream.

Thank you for being brave enough to post and create this channel. I see a lot of myself in your personality and how you carry yourself, except I am not an attorney. I was a business owner with my family's travel agency that sadly I had to leave due to the ongoing pandemic. The business is still running but it couldn't support both our families and I've been on the fence about joining the workforce or starting my own business (aka way to build passive income). I've probably binge-watch many of your videos and have found value from the content you have created. I'm going to go for it and start listing out goals, map out a consistency plan, and START.

Hi Erika! Do you have any tips for older small CZcams channels that have stopped growing? Would love to pick your brain on that! I've had my channel for 5 years. I experienced a period of rapid growth in 2016, but since then it's completely died down. Lately I've been focusing a lot on choosing good keywords with TubeBuddy and improving the quality of my videos and consistency/frequency of uploads, but I feel like I'm not seeing the growth I should be. Any advice? Thank you!
