    Played by Tsunao
    Konami-developed game.
    I guess it deals with the Bacterian again. Shmup = no plot!!
    Same ol' Gradius goodness! There are four types of Power-ups.
    This longplay no-skills through one loop on default settings with Type C. This ended up wrecking the game. I also input the Konami code in this game. :3 I missed a secret or something. =/ I was suppose to fly through something. On Loop 2, the first stage, or something, will have the music from Gradius. -

    そして残機数を犠牲にしてフルパワーアップできる隠しコマンドが別にあるという。
    あと、ゲームの進行速度を遅くできる隠しコマンドもあって、高速になってもこれなら制御可能だったりする。

    This is my second favorite Gradius of all time. It looks and sounds absolutely stunning for the GBA and it's extremely fun - feels almost like a true sequel to Gradius III, but nowhere near as brutal as AC and doesn't have as much slowdowns as SFC. Never knew that Mobile21 of all people would make one of my favorite shmups ever... aren't they the people that made Mario Kart: Super Circuit? Geesh.

      There's a stage select and a infinite continue system. Recovering from checkpoints is perfectly possible, even some that might seem absurd like the final boss rush or the Wall of Death in Stage 8. If you're just going for a normal playthrough, that should be enough. If you're going for a 1cc... yeah, Stage 6 is a bastard, but stage select still allows practice.

    Not the GBA's fault-Konami just sucked at it for some time. Compare the music of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon to Harmony of Dissonance. At some point in between, they switched to a different team which programmed GBA music by throwing the handheld repeatedly against a wall; it was in this time frame that Gradius Galaxies was made. Fortunately they picked up again with Aria of Sorrow.
    (I agree that the GBA's instruments were generally of low quality and tinny-sounding, though.)

    • @J0nath0n.
      @J0nath0n. Před rokem

      I doubt you’ll see or reply to this since it was 10 years ago you left your comment but I thought the music in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (2001) was fantastic and I love the militaristic sound of it as well. As for Harmony of Dissonance (2002), don’t care for that music much at all. There’s like 2 or 3 good tunes but the rest suck. It’s a shame they dropped the ball. But I’d say they redeemed themselves with Aria of Sorrow (2003) because the music in that one is excellent and memorable! They don’t make games like this anymore. And this is also my favorite Gradius game. Could never beat the others but this one I could
