@@karthikrox6310 I always was. It was never the first diagnosis, second and third depended on how long into the episode it was. If he proposes a second/third diagnosis, and there's still so much time left to the episode, that's not it.
It was always predictably dramatic. Well, most of the time.

Intelligent, probably. Skilled, not even close. House's diagnostic skills have been honed in on for year and he has those instincts that Wilson nor anybody else will ever have. He can look for the tiniest of details and match them up with some big ones and make an accurate diagnosis. Medicine is less of a science, it's an art.

The extent to which House and Wilson need and understand each other is wonderful, and plays right through to the end.
For those a bit lost on the ending with Wilson and House, a sub plot of this episode (and season) was them pranking one another. So yes, Wilson did file down a part of House's cane 😂

Honestly I don't really get why everyone keeps doubting House. I'm halfway through the third season and I don't remember him ever costing a patient their life (I think I missed a few episodes of Season 1 but oh well)

Neat how he filed halfway through the cane just enough that it didn't snap when two men were struggling and tugging on it, but when house was using it normally
It is a little funny yes. But I think shear stress is what made it break. Try this: take a candy bar and try pulling them apart to break in the middle and then try breaking it by pushing the two ends of the bar down while pushing the middle of the bar up. You will see that it is easier to break by using the second method. In this scene, Foreman and House were either pushing the stick towards each other or pulling it away but the stick is sturdy enough to not break. But when House leaned against it, it caused shear stress that led to the breakage,
same as with water battles - they just loosen it up first, and only after that it broke
The fighting softened it up.
House weights what? 80 kgs? Try to exert 80 kg horizontally, pushing with your arms... unless you are a Sumo wrestler, there is no way you can.

shadowdance4666 well he found it on the second search and I don't think he cared about breaking the patients skin when removing it considering she was dying an all
But idk much about ticks so maybe I'm missing an important piece of info
if u had dogs your whole life and live near forests etc. then u´d say ticks are fkin easy to remove :p
chiaki I do and it was unlikely he would have gotten it out with the head intact(which he did because it was moving and alive) unless he had experience.
You should try finding ticks on small dogs or cats when they’re basically a speck. Closer to the ground more ticks. I corkscrew them out with a hemostat in order to keep the things with the head attached or infection can occur.

Nah they're fine to find. They have spots where they are most likely to be and they can be removed by using your fingernails and just taking them off.
If you live near forests or densely green areas, ticks are a common occurrence in pets.
Nowadays there are all sorts of tick removal kits. The best solution I've used on my cat is alcoholic gel. The ticks will find it hard to breathe or just die. You can then remove from the root the tick.

We have to appreciate the fact that every episode was so well written that kept us on edge for all the seasons.
To everyone in the comment section who ask "why does anyone ever doubt house?"... House is wrong many times which are referenced several times in the show but they rarely show it.
They show only those cases where house is right and even in those cases he gets it wrong several times before stumbling on the right diagnosis. He's a genius not a psychic. And he has more morality than he likes to accept.
Even house doesn't trust house always. That's why he always respects and keeps close the type of colleagues who always doubts him and prevents him from doing something stupid.
And he respects 13 the most because she never takes his bullshit

Gosh! I love how Wilson was truly on board with House and even gave him the opportunity to 'kidnap' the girl hahaha and when the elevator doors opened...he wasn't even surprised while House just ducked back in like "you don't see me..."
This show in a sense is so realistic you would never know what just happened between house and Wilson unless you watch this clip over and over like I did.
If you go back to when cuddy asked for Wilson’s help you can only briefly see house and Wilson communicate with just their eyes. Essentially Wilson knew cuddy was wrong and was too scared to say anything and buys house time. You really have to watch the clip closely to catch this ultimately fantastic acting.
I LOVE Wilson. He's such a perfect counter to House and they truly are each other's counterparts and soul mates. Hetero life mates.
