CARNIVAL FREEDOM , Amber Cove, Puerto Plata Tour, DR. Umbrella Street, Pink St., great lunch, & more

Had such a good time in Dominican Republic. Blessed with great weather too. Booked a Puerto Plata walking tour through Carnival. Great value for nice tour and lunch. Still had time to explore Carnival’s Amber Cove. Nice place with lots to do, but we’ve always liked to see and taste a slice of a country/area we’ve never visited.

I thought I saw a walking tour. Does the walking tour take you to town ?

Yeah I think this one was called Puerto Plata Walking Tour. About a 20 min bus ride from Amber Cove on a nice air conditioned Toyota bus. Bottles of water were complimentary. They’ll park at the town square and the guide will point out sites around the area and the old catholic chapel. Then the guide will take you to a few famous streets/alleys, stores and a good lunch. The walking is not bad at all.
