Shockwave could defeat Megatron if saw it fit, but he couldn’t defeat Soundwave since Soundwave is an enigma and would use Shockwaves own logic against him to beat Shockwave.
You forgot one thing when shockwave charges his hyperflux cannon its spinning vortex collects energy straight from the cosmos, and when the blast hits its target it creates miniature blackholes and completely destroys its target. by the way he has a vortex that can generate a heat shield that protects its user against incoming fire
I'm having difficulty processing how Shockwave isn't the leader of the Decepticons or at least replace Starscream, actally nevermind I just remember that Megatron needs a punching bag
JackiePrime frankly I think Soundwave would be the best leader of the deceptions since he’s the only one trying to make sure everyone’s following orders and working with each other.
JackiePrime he and soundwave are too uncharismatic and lack initiative, ambition and leadership skills. This is why Megatron chose starscream, he may be a power hungry usurper but he has goals beyond serving
Fun fact: Shockwave was leader of the decepticons for a short while. In a comic series called "The New Order", Megatron was deemed unfit and Shockwave was voted to be the new leader, which he accepted. Best part was he succeeded in defeating the autobots and killed a ton of them in a brutal strategic assault and took over their base. Megatron tried to return and get his position back, but Shockwave beat him within an inch of his life and outcast him as a Decepticon. It wasn't until Megatron teamed up with the Autobots was Shockwave's reign taken down. I highly suggest you read it. Its a VERY creepy comic and shows you just how scary Shockwave is

My guess is he didn't see any point in it. I mean, Shockwave is a very high-logic low-emotion scientist. He's not ambitious, he's not indignant, he's not ethical, he just does what makes sense to him. The only emotions, if you can even call them that, he's been motivated by are his loyalty to Megatron, and his scientific curiosity, the former likely being shattered when the Decepticon party was disbanded. If the founder of my cause abandons it, why shouldn't I? My guess is he's somewhere deep in the bowels of Cybertron, aimlessly performing experiment after experiment for nothing but the sake of ocupying his time.
Shockwave has always been my favorite decepticon ever! I Every incarnation of him, except the G1 Cartoon Version which perhaps been so powerful he let himself to be beaten on a very stupid way.
Alright, is it just me who thinks about this dude's origins, here is my thoughts on it. He was a man who liked to help people and had many friends. When his best friend was killed, he was enraged and slaughtered his killer and his emotion left his body. He wanted to do something better in his life. Megatron met him and said the decepticons would bring peace and that it was the right way. He would get used to their ways and still think his ways were the right ways. All his friends wouldn't recognise him as the shockwave they once knew and feared him. Shockwave would then start forgetting the man he once was and would nolonger know who he was with it now staying a mystery among the decepticon ranks.
Shockwave: the strongest decepticon, overpowered, broken, smart meanwhile.. TF3: got beaten by human, die with one punch optimus, walking all around one street with no purpose
He didn't really have that happen that way while I can agree with one thing he obv loss his intelligence he was literally either walking around the city for no reason and he almost relied completely on the driller in the movie and once it died he just stopped in one place with barricade only for the protoform to die then for barricade to get knocked out or something (I have no idea WTH happened with barricade lol) and for SHOckwaVe to lose a eye so yeah SHOckwaVe don't hve much intelligence in this movie
But he def did not just get one punched while yeah he was dumb as hell michael did a very good job in showing his crazy durability and weapon strength the military along with all three wreckers were shooting at him with all guns for almost the whole begining to half of the chicago battle they also show that one shot from his cannon sent powered up OPtiMus flying into a crane and then SHOckwaVe again gets pounded by explosives and the wreckers yet again (and while yes the part with the parachute is kinda stupid I guess) then has his eye come loose from his head only to get half his torso removed by OPtiMus and still barely be alive then sadly gets his throat or eye ripped out(like barricade I have idea wtf happened when he died). So while yes movie verse SHOckwaVe is a complete idiot he is also very strong
Un the Bayverse and the respective comics, it is said to be stronger than Megatron in combat. He is even taller than him in that continuity. The autobots were afraid to him because he was not only a scientist but also an assassin.
One thing I always liked about Transformers Prime is when they show blaster fire just bouncing harmlessly off a bot's body, whether it be Predaking, Megatron, The Insecticons, or Shockwave

I love how nobody mentions the fact that his 3 best attempts at adding forces to the Decepticons ultimately backfired. (The insecticons, and Predaking both tried to kill Megatron. And, the Dinobots wrecked Shockwaves shit.)
Dinobots were because of Starscream interference. Predacons were because of megatrons reservations. Insect icons were because Shockwave wasn’t around to prevent Arachnid from taking control back. Non were particularly his fault, and I guarantee had Shockwave been the sole decision maker with the predacons, they wouldn’t have turned against them.
not to mention in the IDW1 continuity, he actually WAS onyx prime. he lived his life, got sent to the beginning of time, became onyx prime, and orchestrated literally everything in IDW1 including unicron. damn bro
Ok so long story short he did die by a parachute he died by 1.tree wreckers all shooting vat him at the same time with all there guns along with 2. Military personnel shooting at him along with 3. OPtiMus being the sadistic anti hero he is in the bay verse with a liking with taking or going for a enemys head or face, ripped SHOckwaVe eye and throat (I think) out
G1 Marvel Comics Shockwave was very strong, he rivaled Megatron, though perhaps just slightly weaker physically but possessing more firepower in alternate mode. He defeated Megatron on a couple occasions, and was leader of the Decepticons, on or off, for a number of years before disappearing and then returning to challenge Scorpanok for leadership by the end of G1. While he may not have been as strong as Megatron, he was certainly smarter and a better planner, and overall a more effective leader.
IDW Shockwave(IDW comics is widely considered the main TF continuity) is the strongest character in the verse. Nearly wiped out the entire multiverse, only failing because he basically committed suicide after Optimus restored his ability to feel emotions, and he realized how much of a monster he had become. Dude even went back in time and stole the identity of the strongest of the original 13 after killing him, and then using that identity to make the other 13 turn against one another.

Have you ever noticed that Megatron won't challenge Shockwave I believe Shockwave is more stronger than Megatron and make a better leader the Megatron even though Megatron been around for years Shockwave is more intelligent he thinks logical and his reactions and his actions count up for what you gain on the battlefield keep up the review can't wait for the next one
You should include the fact grimlock was literally on little energon while the decepticons had a limitless source of energon, and grimlock fought hundreds of insecticons with little energon so yeah his armour and strength was not as high
I wanna know why soundwave is op every time he is around the autobots he is never beaten they even had to send him to the shadow realm because they couldn't take him on head to head

@@mabes448 I get it. As a kid, Soundwave was my favorite Decepticon. If I were to be one that I thought related to myself, I’d pick him. As Megatron’s original right hand bot, you’d expect great things. He has a unique arsenal of abilities that are (in normal circumstances) unrivaled. Not gonna lie, if the FireBrothers were to do another power scaling video, I’d want it to be about TFP Soundwave. Also, he’s the type of guy that gets all the time in the world to prepare to fight against anyone & anything. Chances are, he’s just always prepared take on whatever comes his way.
There are 4 aligned universes - Transformers wfc and foc - Transformers go - Transformers RID 2018 - Transformers prime Those universes have a paradox effect in the timeline. So there are separate universes with the same plot but they are different.
Not sure what the comparison is for. Shockwave is a emotionless Scientist, lockdown is a ruthless bounty hunter. Shockwaves best feats are killing Megatron and nearly killing all life in the universe, only failing because he regained his emotions and let Optimus kill him out of shame for the monster he had become. Lockdowns most impressive feats were in bayformers 4. Where he defeated and imprisoned a weakened Optimus, then held his own against a full power Optimus later on. Impressive yes, but not comparable to someone like shockwave, who liter went back in time and orchestrated the downfall of the original 13 primes and the creation of unicron.

No Shockwave isn't on the Batman level. He is Batman and Tony Stark combined. + cold , logical , calculated of Ultron.

Shockwave is easily one of my most favorite transformer characters of all time and the aligned continuity is my favorite version of him.
IDW comics is the best iteration of Shockwave. But Aligned is easily the best onscreen version of the character.

Insect icons were because Shockwave wasn’t around to prevent Arachnid from taking control back.
Non were particularly his fault, and I guarantee had Shockwave been the sole decision maker with the predacons, they wouldn’t have turned against them.

G1 Marvel Comics Shockwave was very strong, he rivaled Megatron, though perhaps just slightly weaker physically but possessing more firepower in alternate mode.
He defeated Megatron on a couple occasions, and was leader of the Decepticons, on or off, for a number of years before disappearing and then returning to challenge Scorpanok for leadership by the end of G1. While he may not have been as strong as Megatron, he was certainly smarter and a better planner, and overall a more effective leader.

Nearly wiped out the entire multiverse, only failing because he basically committed suicide after Optimus restored his ability to feel emotions, and he realized how much of a monster he had become.
Dude even went back in time and stole the identity of the strongest of the original 13 after killing him, and then using that identity to make the other 13 turn against one another.

You should include the fact grimlock was literally on little energon while the decepticons had a limitless source of energon, and grimlock fought hundreds of insecticons with little energon so yeah his armour and strength was not as high

@@mabes448 I get it. As a kid, Soundwave was my favorite Decepticon. If I were to be one that I thought related to myself, I’d pick him. As Megatron’s original right hand bot, you’d expect great things. He has a unique arsenal of abilities that are (in normal circumstances) unrivaled. Not gonna lie, if the FireBrothers were to do another power scaling video, I’d want it to be about TFP Soundwave. Also, he’s the type of guy that gets all the time in the world to prepare to fight against anyone & anything. Chances are, he’s just always prepared take on whatever comes his way.

Not sure what the comparison is for. Shockwave is a emotionless Scientist, lockdown is a ruthless bounty hunter. Shockwaves best feats are killing Megatron and nearly killing all life in the universe, only failing because he regained his emotions and let Optimus kill him out of shame for the monster he had become. Lockdowns most impressive feats were in bayformers 4. Where he defeated and imprisoned a weakened Optimus, then held his own against a full power Optimus later on. Impressive yes, but not comparable to someone like shockwave, who liter went back in time and orchestrated the downfall of the original 13 primes and the creation of unicron.
