Colombia 🇨🇴 🦥 Medellín & Cartagena: Comuna 13, Guatape & finding Sloths in the park!

It's Ged and Kelsie 🙋🏽‍♀️ we are two Aussies enjoying the wonders of South America (with our travel companions Blaine & Elissa). We are super excited for our adventures in Colombia. Starting off in the epic city of Medellín we learned a little about Colombia’s sordid history and it’s hopes for the future. We took a day tour out to Guatape to get our ‘step’ count up (pardon the pun), also a memorable boat ride. Back to Medellín for a guided stroll through Comuna 13 (so much positive change with a welcoming community feel). From Medellín we headed north to the beautiful (but intensely hot!) Cartagena. This town has a unique culture inspired by it’s history and adapting with it’s youth. We got our first taste of ‘wildlife’ with some cheeky monkeys, chilled sloths and sun baking iguanas in the local park (they are all just hanging out, free as you like!). We cover a lot of ground in this episode, we just couldn’t help enjoying as much of Colombia as soon as we could.

The view at the top is worth it! Kels was struggling this day but I counted 670 steps. I could have missed a few. You'll need to go and give us a count comparison.
