- Seven men were arrested for operating a multi-million dollar international operation that authorities believe involved hundreds of stolen vehicles right here in DFW.
They need to be charged for every vehicle that they stole, not a combined charge.
Then 100 years in prison !!!

I shared this with someone else who also had similar concerns to yours, which you may find distasteful, but I believe it to be effective as an evidence-gathering tool. -They will give him up real quick when the police show these thieves their new boyfriends who will be their roommates when they arrive in prison. At their current level of operation, I think they were in this alone, but they most likely had other contacts when they were trying to export the vehicles out of the country. The leader of their crew will sell out to the feds and testify against his underlings and give up the organization he's working closely with. In exchange, he’ll do a couple of years and the rest of the crew will get football numbers thrown at them.
If they want a deal , they'll probably talk. Not many people would sit for someone else and judging that they are young, they won't do it and they're prone to being soft . A good interrogator would probably bring up their future to make them rethink their choices. Theyll find a way to make at least a few break.
What if one or more of their dads worked at a shop or dealership and taught/showed his kid the ropes and then got with his degen friends who might have connections? I'm making this up like you but it's also a likely scenario

Besides a phone…a vehicle has to be the easiest object for law enforcement to track. For one you need fuel…that alone exposes you to a lot. Cameras, local PD , paper trails, how long does one expect to drive a car without proper tags/registration? Literally all cops watch for when crime is not a foot. If a friend asked me to steal a car THESE days….I would have his mental health evaluated.
