The Best Explanation of Dual Native ISO
by @SyrpLab
• How Camera ISO Works: ...
The Camera
electronics.sony.com/imaging/... - Věda a technologie
My Mistake: Sony a7IV and a7CII both have Dual Native ISO. Two based ISO of ISO 800 and ISO 3200 on S-Log 3,
I guess the camera is way better than I thought, it keeps getting better!
Let me know what you think about this camera!
I think you care more about your retention graph than you do about providing people with value and accurate information.
i love the a7cii but i can only afford a6400. a long way to go for me!
“Let me kno…..”
Expensive
I don't have 2k
A new photographer should be learning on a film camera or old school DSLR anyways. $200 will work just fine.
@@michaelbell75 I'd love to try a film camera but I can't find unexpensive SLRs. And also knowing I'd end up spending 25€ for 36 photos might be a problem
@@lollo6551 eBay? You can get something like a Minolta 3000 or 5000 under $100. Or you can get a Sony A mount DSLR with a couple Minolta lenses under $200
@@lollo6551I just got into film last week and I got a Kodak Elgar h35n half frame camera. It’ll make the 36 shots into around 72 shots because it uses half of the frame. It’s a great beginner friendly camera. Check it out
im sure this guy in sponsored. i strongly reccomend Nikon Z30! cheap and reliable! Flip out screen too!
5:58 just the way the autofocus lock on as he is walking back is fantastic
Really clean and beautiful footage, haven't seen stuff that nice in a while -- been watching a lot of just vlog stuff from smaller creators, so to see this was nice, also I can't afford the gear that I'm used to working with, so having good alternatives like this to consider moving to possibly, from my T7i is great too.
love the video! can you make a video on how you choose your settings for video like what iso do you use, which aperture, how do you expose? would love to see that!
the colours in this video are sooo nice!! thanks for sharing
some of the nicest looking footage ive seen from this camera.. would love a a7c ii camera setting/colour grading tutorial
i love to see your video is improving. the way u speak and your tone. i have seen ur video since you're in college 😂
Any recommendations under the 200$ price tag? I'm really a newbie, all I need is Full HD and 3,5 mm port.
Guys, if anyone hears me here, a TRUE budget-friendly first hybrid box: *Canon R8*
Full-frame, 4K 10bits, slow-mo with no crop, 40 photos a second, no record limit... Less than 2000$
Been workin' with it for few weeks now, excepting a few overheating settings to be aware, that's a true banger.
as a fellow a7c ii user, absolutely love it
If it had two cardslots I’d trust it for paid work
But is the risk that high with having only 1 card slot? I never had problems with 1. I'm even shooting with the a6600. Tbh sometimes when i turn it on it tells me to repair the database and it does in seconds (not sure why this happens). Would love to hear your feedback on this!
I still can't find a good reason to get this over A6700 for video. Sure it is FF but if you are going to use F1.8 or above then APSC has nice lenses with equivalent DOF.....ISO is not really an issue for video these days too. So you get identical results at cheaper price for A6700. The only thing I would upgrade to A7Cii is for 33MP which I have been evaluating as I crop my pictures some times.
What lens did you used for the camera in the video?
I have the a7 and I love it, I think it’s a great beginner camera for photo and video, with a price range of 400$ with a lens usually. Great way to get into Sonys expensive ecosystem with lenses. I personally will be upgrading to fx3 later this year, but 3000$ for the body alone is very intimidating especially as a beginner.
Is that the 24mm you shot the interview shots on ?
Damn ..these shots are no joke. 🤯
Would you use it as a b cam for the FX3?
hey, what's the music you used ?
I am looking for a lightweight and compact camera to use on high altitude expeditions in the Himalayas. and I am expecting to get good quality photos and videos of other mountains from the top of the summit. which would be a best? I'll be very grateful if you guide me. Thank you.
what are your go to lens for everyday and travel use?
hi
I'm a hobbyist, what is your take on the Sony 6700?. Since i have invested in APS c lenses, it is not worth upgrading to FF, i think
but hey, fantastic video..nicely explained
How would this camera do shooting milky way / stars for picture and video/timelapse?
Purchased release day and the only deal breaker is the single SD. The video is superb & the AF is the best. Granted, A7CII + GM lense is great but i was shocked when seeing this with Viltrox 20m 2.8. That cheap lense is what really made me a believer 🤯
I feel like a6700 is better, because it's cheaper and lenses are cheaper too. The image quality is almost as good in photo(less bokeh) and in video it's better(4k60 w/no crop+ 4k/120 w/1.5x crop).
Agree, I have the A7IV and when shooting at 60fps the crop factor messes you up. Also, no 4K @120 fps. I love the A6700, cheaper and 4K 120fps. The lens as you pointed out are way cheaper than full frame.
So many "expert" focus on body. So many know better than us what we need or don't.
However, you can shoot with a Ca-ni-so, a M43, APSC, FF, MF, and get very good result... as long as you choose the right lens and have a well-informed eye.
After 3 weeks, the usbc was falling apart. Camera is heating quiet fast. Not a very good choice
The dude recommended a camera, got likes and subs and now will be using something else.
What lenses were used on the A7C II to shoot this footage? Did you use a filter like Promist?
considering the halo effect and orange ring found on some clips, he might have used cinebloom filter from moment
Do you shoot your videos in 30p? Looks so sharp
We love A7C, we use it for our vlogs, it’s just a great camera. We will soon on to mark2👍🏻
What is the LUT you're using? It's beautiful.
I have Canon R5, tempted to switch to Sony A7C ii, should I do it?
Very beautiful and informative , I have same camera with 1.4 35mm sony lens. Now I want a zoom lens for video purposes. I have two options: 1) 24-105 Sony F4 OSS and 24-70 f2.8 GMll, which one will be best overall ?
24-70 would work best
Well dude, you've convinced me to sell my A7IV for this. Form factor is incredible, plus it just looks cooler with the silver. Your color grade is incredible - would love to see a tutorial of your process sometime!
What about background blur/ bokeh??? Is it ok???
Great video! Loved your colors
Cool video. Nice and creative shots. Would rather a Nikon z5 but still too rich for my blood. Sticking w OMD Em1 ii for now.
how does it compare to s5 mk2?
this or wait for the nikon z6ii?
Let’s gooooooo🔥
i am looking at A7ac ii , thank you for this content.
I love photography but I don't want to ba professional photographer. I want to use camera for regular, traveling and some of macro photo. If I bring a camera before 10 years I can't change it. can you help me to chose a perfect camera for me
I have an A7Cii as a travel/backup to my A7RV. I added the Smallrig baseplate grip that will really help. Incorrect, the A7Cii has dual native ISO !!!
Nice video! But the A7Cii DOES have dual ISO. For S-log3, the first is at 800 and the second is at 3200.
Yes i think it has dual native iso
Yep, was wondering why he said that. I think it’s because he has an FX3 and he probably thinks that Cine EI mode is the only way to get dual native iso.
Thanks for the info!
i feel like this is more pro than consumer-pro level :< great vid tho
I'm confused between sony a6700 and this? I know this is full frame compared to apsc on 6700 but, from price point to value for money, 6700 looks so dope. Would love to hear your opinion on this
Other than the Full Frame sensor, the A6700 actually has some better specs. 4k 60 with no crop, has a real mechanical shutter, 11fps photos, etc. Also lenses are going to be much cheaper and smaller
Great video man🔥❤️📷
I'm mainly a video guy and I do a lot of events coverage that require higher framerates like 4k 60 or 120 sometimes. While the A7CII I has up to 4K 60 it is only in Super 35mm mode so I'm losing some of the benefits of having a full-frame camera in the first place. Also to get 120fps I'll have to go back to using 1080p like a caveman lol.
It would be a great second camera to have but the A7CII is most definitely Not the ONLY camera I'll ever need.
If I had only one camera right now I'd pick the FX3 keeping within that price range. The A6700 is close but the overheat with kill me for sure on certain projects, especially as I live in the tropics 😅
Unfortunately this camera (and many others) aren't available in my country and I don't want to pay customs to import (cause it's bloody expensive) so I'm sticking with my ZV-E10 😅
sam the only one who gave the real beginner (budget) options tbh great vid tho
Can't wait for the camera and the iphone 13 giveaway!
how to colour grade like this ?
What’s the shutter speed dial?
the old A7c is good enough if you want something very close but on a budget. I have one and happy with it. would consider the A7ciiR if i were to upgrade.
Is it better then ZV e1 ?
This camera is just the perfect everyday/travel size camera while still has plenty enough for photo/video performance. I sold my a7rv for this camera and I couldn’t be happier. It makes a huge difference on a daily basis.
stabilisation, you killed the word
STAB-ilization
my first camera was a Sony a6000. Then moved on to the a6400 and now im rockin a6600
how was it? I'm looking to buy to take photos of cars
Does it over heat?
What’s the best well rounded lens to use?
I did some research and found these lenses that are good with the a7cii:
1. 16-25mm f/2.8 g
2. 24-50mm f/2.8 g
3. 20-70mm f/4 g
4. 16-35mm f/2.8 gm
personally I'll go with the 24-50mm for its compact size
i love this video😍
Great video! It should have a smaller grip because it's supposed to be smaller/lighter/portable 😁
I am really looking for the rangefinder style camera. This camera with the 35mm Zeiss lens should work well. I wish Sony had a New 35mm.
Why not just get the real thing and buy an actual rangefinder? Get a Leica. Far better camera than this anyways
I have the A7Cii and it's everything he said and more! I'm really happy I didn't settle for A6700.
Just curious why are you happy you didn’t go for the A6700? I’m currently debating this.
@@CadenMcCullough2424 the heating issue is REALLL! plus I feel the AI autofocus is really good on the A7Cii , the A71v sensor for that price with the latest Sony AI is a great purchase.
@@jayantbishnoi9617 thanks for the response. I do like 80% photos and maybe 20% video so the overheating isnt a worry for me. Also the A6700 has the exact same AI autofocus as the A7CII
Amazing video. 10/10 honestly, but one question.. why did you pronounce stabilization like that 👀
Your colour really pamper my eyes👍👍👍
Does it fit in one's pocket with a lens attached?
If not, this isn't a feature.
Is this camera better than a7CR??
Lumix S5ii: best stabe in the business, best bang for buck, amazing image quality, autofocus is now great, even though not as good as Sony's af, dual card, way better build quality and ergonomics, it is much bigger but it also has something for photographers interested in landscape: it's the sensor shift 96mp image :) For video it's much better than the A7CII when it comes to stabe and image quality. For photo it's good enough.
The S5II looks and feels great. But excessive moire and subpar AF is still a dealbreaker compared to the A7CII. Hard to recommend that camera on both photo and video side.
@@blancomedia. the af is not subpar anymore, it’s just not as good as sony’s, the rest can be fixed with a filter or post production, it is cheaper, the glass is cheaper, it has 6k open gate… seriously
How u compare it with Nikon zf?
I love my Nikon Z6, coming from a Fuji Xt2 and Sony a7rii, the Nikon Zf is another league, excellent camera! And z lenses are really good
it’s funny when you recommend compact camera and the put the lens that can shoot someone waving to me from the moon lmao
Difference between a A7CII and a A7CR??
is this weather sealed?
That 4k60 crop though.... very nice looking grades in your video.
I get by with a pair of A7c (mark1) bodies along with an older original A7s for low light ... But...I don't do much video ...so... a cell phone takes care of that...Mostly street stills where I live here in Bangkok...(I am retired). Cheers
Man! Give us that LUT!!!
Isn’t the a7c r not the better version of the c ii?
Just curious because of the recommendation
It's almost double the megpixels so better for photography but not so much for video and its $3000 so...
I got an A7CR. I love it !
are you elon musk or what
What about Sony A6700??
i was between the a6700 and this but ended up getting the a6700. may trade it in for the a7cii buuuuut kinda like the 4k 120 🌱
I bought a A7IV before this camera was announced. I probably would have went with the A7cii for the smaller size. I may trade it when the A7ciii comes out.
Nice vid, looking to upgrade from a6400
another mixed bag …
This camera changed the game for me 💭
still sad you dogged the FX30 :P
was going to get this camera but ended up with the a6700 which is still pretty dope.
it's a great video, really nice to watch but i would not spend about 2k for a first/beginner camera
color grading is so amazing🥹Can you teach me ?
would love to see this as well😍
3:44 Haha, why showcase the active stabilization with the camera on a tripod? Stabilization is only necessary when there is camera shake. Sigma put active stabilization on the telephoto lens for those situations where you can't use a tripod, say when photographing wildlife or sports. Enjoyed your video, though! I can't really get used to the high frame rate, but you captured some very beautiful footage!
At the distance he was at, small vibrations are significantly amplified, so even on a tripod, the stabilization helps a good amount.
Does it shoot 4k60p in crop mode?
yeah. kinda confusing.
How about A7CR? I’ve been looking at A7CR and A7CII. I’m visiting Japan in July and it’s so much cheaper there.
Its probably a little better if your more of a photographer as the 60 megapixels will allow you to crop in a bunch of needed. that and the 60fps video mode is less of a crop like 1.1 instead of the 1.5, and it shoots straight 4k not the 6k downsampling you get in the ii
What about A7iv?
I feel like it's a bit much to recommend this camera to "anyone" as you said. It's a good camera but it's a lot to pay for beginners/hobbyists. A better hybrid option would be the a6700; cheaper body, cheaper and smaller lenses, while having most of the same features as the a7CII.
full frame vs aps-c. Thats a night and day difference tho
@@Avm371998 Not really, unless you're pushing the cameras to the extremes in low light situations. You can go look at countless videos showing the differences between them, most people won't notice the difference
Used a6000 slaps
You needed 2, as there is this one, and the one you shoot it ;-)
Want a better grip on the body? Add a "half case" to the bottom. It increases the grip volume and gives bump protection to the body.
i love you peacegates ❤
The best first camera for a new photographer always has been and always will be a film camera. It will force you to learn the basics of photography instead of doing everything for you like new cameras.
That’s a pretty funny way to say stab-I-lization
Your accent is very interesting… can I ask what is it from?
There is a dual ISO in this camera, it’s just not 12800 as in fx3
What does it mean please in comparison with fx 3
@@IRFAN-po5sz for slog3:
Fx3/a7s3/fx6 dual iso is 800/12800
Fx30/a7iv/a7cii dual iso 800/2500
How about a6400?
"stab" ilizer?
Sony A7 Siii vs Sony A7 iv vs Sony A7 Cii - which of these is a good overall camera?
Canon R5
Canon 90d or A7CII for beginner?
