Thank you so much for this video! I’ve had a set of Mizuno irons for years and wondered if I should upgrade my wood set. This video helped guide my decision.
I picked up the 440 and the ST Max 3 wood on Friday, both with stiff shafts. (My previous Top Flite set had regular flex and I was slicing everything). I’m averaging 35 yards more on my strikes (about 270 on my driver) and I’m hitting darts down the fairway. Now I just gotta work on consistency!

Great video comparison, I really really like how you fact checked the heat/strike pattern to explain the ball speed, vs instantly jumping to a conclusion that it was the driver. I need to work on my delivery more than the tech, but this was still a very cool comparison. Shows the Mizuno is quite undervalued by consumers

I had the previous ST200G and didn't get on with it as well as I would have liked and then went into my current gamer, the TSi4 with the Graphite Design Di6 65g shaft. It's an absolute weapon and looks, sounds and feels superb. No doubt the TSR4 would be awesome as well but for me, there's no point in upgrading.

Tomorrow I will have a driver fitting with drivers from Titleist. I will test the TSr 2, 3 and 4. The fitter has the Phoenix 4 and 5 TS shafts from Xcaliber and all the stock options for Titleist drivers.

How do these compare with stealth plus and stealth 2 plus?

I was thinking about a used TSi4. The spin was so low. Allowed me to use more speed.

Today I had my Titleist driver fitting. The TSr4 9* with the heavy weight back worked best for me.
    Final setup
Head: TSr4 9* A1 setting with heavy weight back.
Shaft: Xcaliber 4 TS (48g uncut/45-46g cut to length).
    Playing length: 45.25 in.

I find it interesting that manufacturers still bother with low spin drivers when 90% of their market needs more spin not less, in these days of ‘sell sell’. It was 10 years ago now that everyone eventually said the original low spin SLDR was a horrendously hard driver to hit consistently.

If you set the heavy weight back in the TSr4. It becomes a mid spin driver. I for one live the smaller size drivers. Always have.

I wish the tsr4 was 460cc and sounded like the tsr3

Same result pretty much as the STG vs TSR3 driver test you did. The mizuno is just less efficient, it has a higher swingspeed but LESS ball speed than the Titleist. Its hard to make a case for buying the Mizuno.

Not bad ball speed for been hit out the heel

Could that be due to the shorter shaft that Mizuno uses on its stock setup ?

Great review. Will the Tsr4 go in your bag?

Love my TSR4. Flipped the weight for some more forgiveness.
