I love the fabric bunting. I’m copying you on that! And about the frame, I’d just darken it a bit with antiquing wax or dry brushing a darker paint. That’s me for my house and decor.

First, oh my how pretty you look! Love the hair and make up, you are glowing!!! It’s so good to see you so happy sweet friend!❤ I adore your bunting and the way you thought out of the box and did something original and more in keeping with the primitive period. Love the picture! You can try putting som dark rub and buff on the frame to give it a more silver metal look or even paint it to mimic pewter which would be very unique! ❤❤

What a great idea to use C clamps....may have to use that idea. The picture is very pretty...and what I've done with early images is remount them in primitive frames (I know hard to find now) and remove the mat. I think that makes them look much more authentic....I have one more that I'm trying to find a frame for (hubby can cut them down if they are too large). The twisted fabric is also a nice idea.....I may use a large flag in the same way.

From where I am that frame is perfect for the art piece. It looks professional done and would be a shame to waste a perfect frame and mats. My husband and I owned a custom frame shop for over 20 years. Your mantel looks great!!
Hi Ann, Thanks! I agree with you it does look professionally done. The mat is beautiful with a marble appearance and gold trim on the inside. It would be a waste to paint it. I trust your opinion. Would you mind if I ask a question about framing? I have a cross-stitching that was made by my sister. You might remember seeing it in my videos. My brother in law had it framed and matted when he gifted it to me, that was about 20 plus years ago and now it’s starting to look loose or rippled. Can this be re stretched?
