The MIAMI HEAT just ENDED their NBA Championship hopes with THIS TRADE!

  • Pat Riley and the Miami Heat in my opinion, just stamped an early exit from the playoffs, should they make it. Trading Kyle Lowry and other considerations for Terry Rozier, is the last of a string of moves that dismantled last year’s Eastern Conference champions. Key pieces like Strus, Lowry and Vincent are all gone. That will prove to be a detriment for Miami going forward.

    im not going to jump the gun, but so far its been looking like a good move. 8-2 in our last 10 games including a blowout win over the Bucks as well as beating the Pelicans and beating the Kings without Jimmy, and we pushed the celtics to a 110-106 win without Jimmy and having Terry and Josh getting injured during the game.
    on top of that, in this ten game stretch we've had the 2nd best defensive rating in the league only behind the wolves. factor in the fact that we're in a better spot now among the standings than last year at this exact time - while this eastern conference is more competitive than last years - alongside the fact that we have some of the most injuries in the entire league and still managed to be in a top 5 seed, and you can see that there's a legitimate shot at making another conference finals appearance.
    however im still going to keep my hopes in check until after the upcoming match with Denver as well as watching how the Heat perform against the Cavs and Knicks in the next month. That will be a real indicator if this Heat team is still a legitimate threat in the east, at least for me

      All good points. And all could be true. But I never said that they were illegitimate. I said that come playoff time, they would be a little weaker and that teams wouldn’t fear them as much. Not in terms of talent, because they have more talent than last year. But in terms of mental toughness. There was no one tougher in the East, than Caleb Vincent, Max Strus, and Kyle Lowry. They hit every shot, made every defensive play and played way over their heads against the Knicks, the Bucks and the Celtics. I just don’t see Herro, Jaquez and Rozier playing up to that level. But they have more talent, than last year.

      I don’t agree… that’s what was said last year, and Kyle Lowry, Gabe Vincent, Strus and Martin played way above their regular season level. You don’t let winning players go.

  • @PGO_Gaming
    @PGO_Gaming Před 3 měsíci

    Gabe Vincent was already gone but I get your point. Terry Rozier is not the move to get you over the hump. It's the move that precipitates the selling off of your best parts in the near future.

    • @Dbo_Sports
      @Dbo_Sports  Před 3 měsíci

      Yes, I only included the Gabe Vincent part of it because it shows a further deterioration of the Point Guard position on that team. Terry Rozier definitely doesn’t replace what Vincent and Lowry gave them in big spots.

      Why? Because they beat the Orlando Magic on a Tuesday night in February. Orlando is a younger, a little less physical version of the Heat. Good win but the verdict is still out on Rozier.

      @@Dbo_Sports Stop before you dig yourself too deep in this conversation because you are not going to win 😂 I don't know how you can do a true Heat fan and not see past Kyle's production vs pay 🤦🏼‍♂️

      @ThatsMiNinja I look at Kyle’s production when the lights are on. Not Terry’s production on a Tuesday Night in February. I don’t look at point per dollar, I look at big buckets in crunch time. That’s what Lowry gave you. You worry about bread, someone else will worry about winning.

  • @TheLexiconMind
    @TheLexiconMind Před 3 měsíci +1

    Why you put this video out? Why do you choose such a negative perception of things? It's not like you actually know for a fact anything you're talking is going to be the reality. Terry's played way better than Kyle Lowry was playing and he's been having a rough time with his shots and this is still true. He is still contributing more to our winning than Kyle was. So what's wrong with your eyes? Imagine when his shooting slump ends what it's all going to look like. You the only podcaster I have seen put a video like this out No one else is talking about it like you are. Oh there's the answer to my initial questions. You just put in a hot take out because it's clickbait. It's either that or well you don't want to know the other option

    • @Dbo_Sports
      @Dbo_Sports  Před 3 měsíci +1

      No you just don’t like my assessment. Rozier is a 42% shooter from the field. And something like 35% to 36% from 3. My negative perception comes from his history in Boston and Charlotte. It is an honor to be the only podcaster you know that raised these questions about Terry, because it means that I’m doing something right. It’s not clickbait, it’s the truth… it’s just that the rest of the league is adverse to talking about other teams acquisitions. Trust me… the rest of the league fears the Heat a little less now. It doesn’t mean that Rozier is not a good player. It means that in big spots, he may make some, but he’s going to miss a lot more. And Gabe Vincent and Kyle Lowry made most of their big shots last year during the Heat’s run.

    • @TheLexiconMind
      @TheLexiconMind Před 3 měsíci

      @@Dbo_Sports okay cool man. I'm not sure where your emotionalism comes from what did Terry ever do to you?? Lol why wouldn't you choose to believe that now that he's with the Miami Heat he is going to transcend and become a better than ever player? Why would you sell him out right away? Homeboy is lighting up the assist column I know that much. Absolutely smoking what Kyle Lowry was given us I know that much. So I will just continue to believe in heat culture and therefore expect that he is going to become a better basketball player than he ever was in the past while you can sit with your hate.

    • @PGO_Gaming
      @PGO_Gaming Před 3 měsíci +1

      Heat lost again last night to the Clippers. Guess what Rozier did. Shot less than 50% from the field, as usual. The loss of Kyle Lowry down the stretch and in the playoffs is huge for the rest of the Eastern Conference. The man is right.

    • @TheLexiconMind
      @TheLexiconMind Před 3 měsíci

      @@PGO_Gaming do you really want to play this game dude? Do you really want to go tit for tat so that I can come back here and point at last night's game where he was a f****** badass? Do you really want to doubt the Miami Heat development system that can turn nobody's into somebody's? Are you really going to argue with me that the Miami Heat isn't going to be capable of turning Terry into the absolute best version he has ever been? I'm not sure what you're a fan of because it's not the Miami Heat. If you were you wouldn't be talking like that.

      @@TheLexiconMind The Miami Heat only have a couple of fans in this world and I ain't one of them. That's why I can stay objective about the situation. I know Terry Rozier. I don't care about last night's game. I know the player. He's selfish when it matters most. He ain't no spring chicken. The Miami Heat ain't doing a damn thing in the playoffs with Terry Rozier as a prominent player in their squad. Some people have to see it to believe it. Others just know.

      Savior? If it wasn’t for Kyle Lowry, the Heat don’t beat the Knicks. If it wasn’t for Vincent and Strus, the Heat don’t beat the Knicks or the Celtics. They played at a super high level on both ends for the Heat. Try to get Terry to do that for them. We’ll see.

      @@Dbo_Sports Are they doing that for any other team? Is Kyle out there saving another team, I don't see Gabe Vincent out there saving the Lakers, Strus is doing ok but he's not the reason Cleveland is where they are, and stop with this whole if it wasn't for Kyle this and Kyle that or Kyle this, they wouldn't be where they are for the past four years if it wasn't for a lot of players on the team not just Kyle, but it's time his time has expired just accept it and move on bro damn 🤦🏼‍♂️ and if you do not recall Josh breaking Jimmy's ankle in the Knicks series is the reason some players had to step up, it wasn't because they chose to and they were capable of, it was they were forced to because their best player was crippled but that was at a cost of draining the team before the Finals, but where was Kyle when we needed him the most when our best player had a broken ankle 🤔🤷🏼‍♂️
