    The King's Indian Defense is one of the most popular openings ever because it is extremely dynamic and allows black chances to fight aggressively for the win against 1. d4. Grandmaster Eugene Perelshteyn has been playing the King's Indian Defense for nearly 20 years and in the below chess video excerpt from the chess DVD ¨The King's Indian Defense 6. ...Na6 System¨ he explains his intimate knowledge of this complicated opening system, specifically focusing on a very interesting sideline that has recently risen to extreme popularity - diverging from the main lines with 6. ...Na6. In this introductory video from the chess DVD, GM Perelshteyn demonstrates the main ideas of this variation with special emphasis placed on the thematic maneuvers and breaks for black. Although many variations and concepts of the 6. ...Na6 system are very similar to the main lines of the King's Indian Defense, GM Perelshteyn is quick to point out the differences and advantages offered by this sideline. In the following chess video excerpt from the chess DVD ¨The King's Indian Defense 6. ...Na6 System¨ Grandmaster Eugene Perelshteyn will introduce the main concepts of this effective sideline and how you can begin playing it with great success against 1. d4.

    I have this "DVD" (it's a download actually) in a multi-author King's Indian Bundle for 50 USD. It's both very clear and elaborate. The only complaint I could have is that I liked to see a few more middle game motifs (long term goals). A conclusion such as "Black has no problems here" isn't very helpful for the club player. Other than that, if you're into KID then this 10 bucks is a best buy.

    you can still answer the early d5 push with an immediate ..Na6-Nc5, gaining time by hitting e4 so you can play ..a5 and cement the knight on c5. Cheers!

    true - however this Bd3 line also gives black a very attractive option to play ..Bg4 in many variations

    Very helpful video, I have just a question in the first line with the take in e5 and the queens exchange: what if white plays Bf3 before Bg5 hindering Rxe2 ? Is f5 correct ? or may be better Kg7 and later c6 to protect b7 ?

    • @ChesscomGames
      @ChesscomGames  Před 9 lety

      harparkrat1 If Bf3? White loses a piece after Nxc3

    • @harparkrat1
      @harparkrat1 Před 9 lety

      OnlineChessLessons.NET There is no knght on c3.I mean after 7 0-0 e5 8 dxe5 dxe5 9 Qxd8 Rxd8 10 Nxe5 Nxe4 11 Nxe4 Bxe5 12 Bf3. What is better now Kg7 or f5 ?

    • @harparkrat1
      @harparkrat1 Před 9 lety

      harparkrat1 Now Bg5 is a real threat because there is no bishop in e2 and Re8 does not work. Additionally black LS bishop is linked to defend b7.

    • @ChesscomGames
      @ChesscomGames  Před 9 lety

      harparkrat1 ah ok, Three possible moves. ...,f6 ...,Kg7 and ...,Re8. Kg7 seems the more solid. But ...,Re8 seems also ok, because avoids white to develop his bishop.
