I am African American who learned about Cecil Rhodes and his exploration of Zimbabwe and its natural resources from my College professor who was from Ghana teaching African history and American history here in the USA. Excellent teacher!

South African/ Canadian here. I was at Matopo Hills Lodge in 2018. I remember the different colored trails searching for grain bins left by the Matebele in the 1800s when they fought the Anglo-Boer war.
Maya was very brave to walk bare footed as well to go up there. The last time i walked up the top mountain is when i was in grd 4. We use to fetch grass to build the roof top of the house. It was in Gwanda right after Matobo. The place rounded with mountains all over. That was very brave of you Maya. Well done sir
