    Thank you for the beautiful Trade Winds Wrap pattern!! It’s just what I was looking for to make for my Aunt Carol who just turned 91 this year. She’s still very active. Plays golf, takes her 2 Boxers for walks every day and visits out of town friends and relatives. Hope I can be like that when I get to be her age! 🧶💕

    My thanks to Jane for another beautiful pattern and to Chandi for another great tutorial! Now....whoever figured out the foundation stitches -- fsc, fhdc, fdc -- needs to receive some sort of huge honor🏅🎉 for freeing us from the dreaded non-stretchy slip stitch chain that you never get the right number of stitches the first time so you have to frog (rip it, rip it, rip it) 🐸 the first row at least once. Using foundation stitches makes your project look way better, too. 😸

      @satsumamoon Před 11 měsíci

      If you have to use a chain then make 4 extra and undo any surpless after completing the 1st row. Chain doesnt always cause
      tightening , it depends on the pattern.

    Oh my gosh, all those strings! I am glad, for my first time, making this, I am using one color and one yarn! This is so delightful, the need to focus, and the shine on this rayon yarn I am using, is nice. Hopefully, it doesn’t prove to be too heavy. Rayon from bamboo, has a nice shine and drape, but it has proven to be too heavy for a couple projects I have done. So far, so good. Plus, all the style options, surely one will work. 🥰

    • @ExpressionFiberArts
      @ExpressionFiberArts Před rokem +1

      Yes, you should, although the yarns we used in this sample all had different yardages per skein. We used a total of approximately 825 yards for the sample shown, including the tassel and i-cords with the following yarns: (A) Resilient Sock (4 oz, 400 yds)
      (B) Sparkle DK (3.5 oz, 275 yds)
      (C) Pearlescent Fingering (4 oz, 550 yds)
      So the ability to make it larger will depend on the yarns you choose.
