I’m about to order the Olympic Pearl but it doesn’t come in HSS. However I don’t own a strat and I’m playing a $180 Epiphone Les Paul special ii series that has a HH. So this might give me a broader range to my collection of what would be two guitars. But IMO this would be my first real Fender even if it’s MIN

I have the same strat as this video. have had for like 7 months now. Yesterday I went to get a 2nd guitar and picked up an epiphone les paul custom. Ebony black, gold color pick ups, etc. Absolutely beautiful guitar, Absolutely hated the sound. Broke my heart. Based off look alone, that epiphone was like dream guitar. Honestly, I'm kind of thinking I'm just a strat guy and nothing else will sound as good even though it may say otherwise. I took the epiphone back and got a schecter c-1 platinum. The strat, epiphone, schecter, all 3 are in same price range, yet to Me, the strat Just blows them out the water. The schecter sounds good, but just not as strat. People might think I'm crazy, but that's just what I think.

Just because it says "Fender" on the headstock doesn't make it anymore real than a Squire or Epiphone. The Classic Vibe Series from Squire is on par with the Player Series and this is a Player Series Strat. Im speaking from experience since I own and have played plenty of both! The best Epiphone's are obvious the Inspired by line and specifically the 59' Les Paul and the newer upgraded models they have released recently that are closer to an actual Gibson. Squire and Epiphone makes quality guitars but of course not every guitar is made equal and with the right quality control and there is hit or miss with Squire, Epiphone, Fender, and Gibson.
The real question is are you a Gibson style guitar guy or a Fender style because they sound and play different and each has their own pros and cons and of course pricing. 😂

Please note 2:40 The Les Paul has a 24.75" scale while the Strat has a 25.5" scale. As scale length increases, so does string tension for a given pitch, so of both guitars are tuned to concert tuning of 440Hz A, the LP will feel "slinkier" and easier to bend than the Strat.

I got the same one HSS and color back in May and love it. You’re right the versatility it’s the main reason why I got it .
It’s my first Fender always played Gibson Les Pauls but adding to my collection .. keep rocking 🤘🏼.

I have now had several recent Player Series guitars. I believe they have sorted out the earlier fret issues.

I got this body in Cherry burst and I have a custom ordered Warmouth neck being built for it. Went back and forth on what Strat I wanted and got tired of not having the options I wanted specifically. Almost pulled the trigger on a Lone Star but I wasn’t happy with my one reverb experience.

A month ago I bought a Fender Player Stratocaster Limited Edition in yellow ferrari with ebony fretboard. It looks and most importantly sounds fantastic! I only replaced the tuners with Fender Deluxe locking ones. Greetings from Poland... 🤘

I just ordered this today - was able to play it a few weeks ago at GC - really enjoyed it. It was on sale at GC but not any more (near me) but musicians friend has it at the discounted price. Really excited, thanks for the breakdown of it!

It arrived today. Looks mint out of the box. Fret edges are smooth, neck is straight and true - everything is smooth. The nut may need some smoothing, but i'm not a luthier so i'll definitely be taking it in to get it set up. But it sounds mint playing it and its so smooth all around. Ordered through MusiciansFriend onsale for $651. I know Sweetwater is supposed to be better but i had no issues. :) so excited!

I m not a fan of the black pick guard though so i'll probably get a custom one online - any suggestions on good custom pickguard websites?

I’m wondering if you’re able to switch out the pickguard and humbucker pickup with a Seymour Duncan one…have you checked the body cavity to see if you can put in any other pickups? Thanks. I’m thinking of putting in all single coil pickups in my hss strat.

  • @danilolimas

SD 59 is great on strats, because it has great balancing with single coils

    • @bluecollaroutdoors5556

Yea it seems really good, it’s a good balance between a normal strat tone and a normal humbucker.

This guitar is awesome, I have one that's marked made in Ensenada on the back on the 70th anniversary.
How can I find more of the Made in Ensenada" instead of the " Made in Mexico"?
    Ensenada is real quality.
    Thank you.

So I’ve had mine for 18 months. It hums in positions 1 (humbucker), 2, and 4. How do I solve that?

  • @timmy9828
    @timmy9828 Před rokem +3

2:28 🤔 I’d thought since the Gibson Les Paul is a shorter scale length (24.75), it would be easier to bend strings on it.

    • @shayh.3556

It is lol, play a Les Paul or SG and bend the strings then immediately grab a Strat or Tele and you'll notice a slight difference.
