- The Vevor Garage Flooring Tiles are the best priced DIY option I have found. They are easy to install and look amazing. But there is one draw back to these. They dont have an option for a flooring transition. Now, I dont think its 100% necessary because at 1/2 inch tall, your car rolls right over then with no problem.. BUT, if you want to add a transitional ramp to the entry of your garage I have found a great solution that has been working very well for me. I will also show you just how easy it is to trim these garage flooring tiles so that you can create a clean finished look around cabinets and other obstructions...ENJOY!!!

For your cuts, i would flip the saw blade backwards, you just might be amazed at how easy and clean the blades go through soft/brittle material (plastics/aluminium/vinyl) with no snapping, chipping or bucking whatsoever. Also, for intricate detail cuts (corners, going around posts and stuff), investing 100$ on a dewalt 3" cutoff tool (with the included "multi-material blade") will totally blow your mind, it did mine, total game-changer. Keep up the good work, great vids!
I was able to rent a tile cutter from a tool library here in Portland and it made the cuts so easy! Roberts 18" MULTI-FLOOR CUTTER
Thanks for the follow-up Josh, your floor looks great.
That transition is PERFECT
The floor looks great and I like your edging idea, nicely done Josh 👍😁
Thanks Josh, I ordered my flooring from vevor as well and the edging you spoke of. Love your content
Right on josh the shop is looking super nice 👍
As usual nice demo. I watched the first video and your follow up was very helpful in demonstrating how to apply the rubber transition. If I may request, how about an update of your garage flooring to let us know how it's working out. Keep the videos coming.
Dude I’m buying these this week great video!
Turned out great
great your site I love it, I saw on several reviews that this brand vevor the tiles are very slippery when you think because in my case I do a lot of vehicle washing so a lot of water thank you again
Definitely need a follow up video after this great one. 😊
Good solution 👌
Not sure if it affects you, but others may want to only put the edging where the tires go up. Looks like this could block drainage going out the garage. But if you run this down the sides of the flooring (parallel to car) it could help prevent water seeping out the sides. Very cool!
Use a heat gun put some heat into it and it works. I did that to mine.
Hell yeah. I like it
Hey I have a video idea for you I know you use the maxshine m15 pro polisher can you make a video on changing the carbon springs on them to maintain them
Im wanting to order this stuff asap. At this point how is the transition strip holding up and the floor overall since it has been atleast a month now?
Love the work space in the garage. Man, you lucked out finding a place formerly owned by a car guy.
Yeah I agree!!! Thanks
Nice job on the floor. Just wondering if those transition strips would block the tiles from draining if there was a substantial amount of water? Thanks
that was my concern also
Another helpful follow-up video would be how to remove / replace a broken tile along with best method at uninstalling an entire garage tile set. Nice job on the review. I went a head and ordered after watching your first video. I've started assembling 4x4 squares instead of installing individually and found that trying to take apart a 4x4 section by itself was quite a task. Especially since I had access to the bottom side to get to the locking tabs. I can't imagine how difficult it would be from the top...
It's actually easier from the top if you just use a thin flat blade screwdriver, 1/4" width.
Tuck it in between the tiles at the locking tabs and just lever sideways on the locking tab, moving the handle towards the semi circle. It'll release the locking tab and allow you to lift it and separate it. Go on down the line to get the whole section right out from the middle.
Thanks for the update. I will be doing something similar to my garage too. Does this come in other colors? Always good content brotha! 🔥🔥🔥👍🏽
They have black, gray, green and blue. When I looked at this a little while ago, some of the colors had limited availability.
Thanks man!
Hey I live in the south with a ton of pine trees..what would you use to remove it safely...high end cars..I use gogone on my truck not worried etc...I searched your videos and came back empty...trust your opinion..
Looks nice! Are you in CA?
Josh, how is this floor doing?
Niiiiiice
How isitdriving a vehicle on top. Like when you turn the wheels
How are these holding up? Are you driving a car over them or just using as a workshop?
Where you buy your entry transition ??
Out on Amazon and out on the company website. Another great opportunity missed. Thanks for the suggestions though.
Oh man… back out of stock??? Keep an eye on them and I’ll try to post an update when they are back in again
Josh,
Did you use the beveled edge ramp/trim that is low, high, or mega profile?
Same question here. I just ordered these tiles directly from vevor and considering the threshold you used. How is that holding up?
I have the flooring and going to start soon. Could you please answer this question? Thank you. Great video!
He used the Mega profile as it is for 1/2" tiles and I just measured, and it is 1/2"
I can't image over a short period of time the buildup of tiny rocks/sand/sawdust/bugs under that tile. Not to mention anything dropped that can pass thru those slots is gone until you lift up the tile to retrieve it.
RADGARAGE rick has a good video showing how to clean your floor..
Super simple
Solid woukd definitely be best
So a tip/constructive criticism when you edit you can cut out the ok guys part in the sentence and you’ll have a smoother transition between cuts.
Hows the water going to drain past the rubber edge
Yea if you are washing on top of it I would t recommend using that edge. I have a wash bay outside so it doesn’t get very wet inside for me. Any water that does get in just evaporates out
This is a random question that isn’t related to this video.
What cordless da polishers do you use specifically? You mentioned you’ve used both Milwaukee and Dewalt. Which models do you like best?
Thank you for your time and thanks for all the amazing videos.
I get that you can use a shopvac to vacuum up dust/debris etc....what about Liquids like oil, coolant etc.....Seems like that is a problem with these grated type floors.....How are they with Jacks and Jack stands?
Yea not great fro those things.. I discuss that in one of my earlier videos about these. I think the real reason to lay these down is purely for looks and thats why i recommend the cheaper VEVOR tiles and not the mor expensive name brand ones... Those are a better quality flooring for sure, but still have the same issues when it comes to those things you brought up
Currently unavailable in amazon 🤷♂️
Lack of a matching edge piece is a deal killer
I meant does the flooring come in other colors. Lol
Can you use a car jack on this?
I don’t think you can. Would crush the plastic. I think you need something underneath the jack, like a piece of wood or metal.
Yes I use it on mine now and have had it down for over a year with no issues
The tiles are grey ?
