- The final round of the Lifetime Grand Prix series went down this past Saturday. I spent Thursday and Friday at the expo under the Bikeflights and got to meet a lot of cool people. The expo was one of the better expos of the year and the vibes around town were great. It was contagious.
I had a good race, managed a crash that didn't set me back too much. I had decent legs I just couldn't hold the pace up the longer climbs around halfway through.
Importantly, I put enough guys between Tobin and I to lock up that battle, which is really all that matters. Just a little confidence boost heading into the most important race of the year, Single Speed Cyclocross World Champs in 3 weeks time. First, I got to go give it to Alexy at Iceman.

Hey Kerry, Yes, moto media is the best way to see a race (depending on assignment). Given the right race (multiple loops) we can try to get you on for a lap as a VIP! 🏍 I'm the la'st moto that was in the video (red white and blue motorcycle) I drove the social media person for the women's pro race and we were able to live stream on Instagram for the first 20 miles. Much longer than expected given the cellphone coverage out there. I'll look for you at the next race.
Lifetime put out an awesome recap video yesterday. Radadizzle had a spectacular crash.
Great to see you again Kerry! Look forward to seeing you in Tucson in the winter. Saw your crash on from the chopper footage that Lifetime put in their video. Amazing you came out of that pretty unscathed. Incredible!

I’m glad you’re ok after that crash! Scary stuff, so much high risk in gravel, with crashing hard, flats, suffering and fighting for 20-something place. Gotta ask: why the shift to grav from cyclocross? Industry pressure, or do you like it more? I hope you take this the right way, but you’re much better at CX, I think you can be CX national champion.
How do you like the coefficient RR handlebar? Do you use the middle hand position for being aero? How does it compare to clip on aerobars?
