      Ha ha ha. The "Teddy Thing" that I sometimes do was actually meant for my students. ( They get scared of Pathology Definitions but they can't pass written exam without writing proper definitions besides other things. So I show teddy to keep them calm and focus so that it doesn't seem too difficult for them) Glad it worked on you too ! Best wishes from Bangladesh. New video coming in 2 days from now.

    Doctor - Very helpful video. Can you please comment on long term effects of reperfusion injury? Are there different grades of it, i.e. mild/moderate/severe? Is IR injury somehow different depending on the type of tissue - i.e. skeletal muscle vs cardiac or even nerve tissue vs vascular - such as in severe, prolonged compression or compartment syndromes? Any new ideas about treatment? Thanks.

    Hello Doctor thanks for informative video I didn't understood a relation between restoration of blood leads to inflammation ?

    • @med4kmd
      @med4kmd Před 9 lety

      Someone correct me if I am wrong - but I believe it has to do with damaged tissue producing ICAM (intercellular adhesion molecules) on their surfaces, kind of acting as a smoke signal for other particles to come help in repair. These other particles are things such as leukocytes who then with ICAM's help, are able to bind to the vascular endothelium to aid in repair. However, it tends to be more complicated because there are many signals communicating with each other, i.e. cytokines (like IL1, IL-6, IL 10, etc) and complement factors (TNF-a) that also try to aid in repair. This repair mechanism, is actually the inflammation we talk about. Inflammation is helpful in the short term, but when it becomes chronic, it causes more problems/damage than it solves. Also, inflammation can be just local, but it can also be systemic.

    • @RabiulHaque
      @RabiulHaque  Před 9 lety +1

      ranbir chawla Hello, thank you for your question. I try to remember the key words of the definition first. To be honest : I didn't like memorizing definitions when I was a student too but it is necessary for written exams. Also the examiners get a wrong impression here during oral exams if students fail to define according to text book. So my advice would be : try to understand the definition first. You will be amazed to know that each text book definition were written and rewritten on basis of vast numbers of discoveries spanning many years. Try to understand the theme of the topic first. Then look for key words in the definition. Once you have understood the topic and remembered the key words : you will find it easier to remember. It will still take repeated revisions. So make a schedule for revising too ! Hope it is helpful. Best wishes from Bangladesh. :)
