There are some extra taps in there from the tutorial to the “with music” version and now my challenge is to get those without your detailed instruction! Thanks for making these available, super fun way to deal with sheltering at home!
Great catch on the extra sounds! The original video I recorded (with music) wasn’t useable, and this one was actually recorded for students in one of the classes that I teach. Their version had some extra steps, which is what you’re hearing. Glad you’re having fun with these videos, Susan. ☺️ Take care! 💜💜
Beginner Dance Tutorials where are the extras? I’m just starting out and it’s all a blur! You really break tap down into something I could grasp ( with tons of practice). Not sure if my 76 year old body is up to it but I’ve always been curious how the steps could possibly be done in any tap routine.

Outstanding! This is just what I am looking for! So many tap dancers screw up the rhythm when they try to get cute and add "style". It's about a consistent beat, like drums, NOT waving one's hands around!
I spent 45 minutes in my garage trying to learn this dance and i finally did it. It was a lot of fun and i hope you post new tap videos

Looks kinda hard. I have my first tap dance lesson this February. I did ballet & tap when I was little. 16 years later, I’m getting back to it. Can’t wait!!

Cool! I'm just getting back into dancing after hip surgery...my joints feel so different. Ballet went OK but I'm trying to do tap like I did a few years ago, and my feet just plonk on the ground! I liked this one, easy to follow. I choreographed something to this for Zumba before my body fell apart, but I really like how you set it to tap! Well done. Here in the UK...

Strikes me that with a few accompanying hand moves this would make a great "normal" dance without tap shoes and relatively simple

Thanks for the feedback! If you're watching on your computer, you can right-click on the video and select "Loop" - this will play the video over and over until you stop it. It won't be completely without stopping, but it's better than having to restart the video every time. Hope this helps! 💜

What age would you recommend starting tap?
Kids as young as 3 can start to find the beat and learn very basic steps. I started tapping at age 10. And you're never too old to learn!!! 💜
