Everyone thinks spending tons of money on fancy aftermarket exhaust parts is gonna make some huge difference on these bikes? The stock setup is actually more than adequate once its modified properly. I did buy a British Customs cat delete X-pipe for around 2 bones in order to save the stock one from an irreversible gutting. Once I pull the baffles out of the mufflers and punch out the cats in each of those, its gonna be just as free flowing and in my opinion better looking than any aftermarket slip-ons I've seen. To each his own, but I'd spend my money elsewhere on the bike.
I am also going to install an x-pipe with the stock exhaust. Do you think the DNA air filter actually makes any difference? Or the x-pipe with OEM air filter and stock exhaust is adequate for airflow and performance improvement?
@@mymotosai5036 Those K&N style filters are a scam. The factory filter has a finer micron rating and needs no maintenance. Also, those supposedly "high performance" air filters require you to use thier cleaning and oiling products on the regular to get adequate protection. Otherwise they let in the super fine dust that will certainly destroy your internals that much faster!
@@mymotosai5036 I'm actually working on an ECU flash now to take full advantage of all the mods I've done. Its the only way to gain any real power from these Euro5 mapped bikes.
Did you use ECU program for tuning or could get by with "automatic" tuning by letting it idle for 10 minutes? Ernie you are truly a legend man. Can't wait to see the next one.
Good job . I bought the Tec X-Pipe a year ago for my speed twin. I'm not sure i I should fit it or not. I'm living in Spain and they check emissions here for the MOT (ITV). This means I would have to reinstall the cat every time I get my bike tested. I'm not sure if the time it would take is worth it.
After suspension, you're going to want to look into crankshaft swap. You should be getting a good lower end torque boost from it and you can find it from Tec Bike parts. They've done a lot of research on these bikes and where the power is being restricted.
Almost everyone I've seen mod thier exhaust, start revving the thing within seconds of firing it up for the first time? From what I've heard theres no way to retune these bikes from the factory? Just need to let it run for 10 min. and learn the new parameters of the mods. After it idles down a bit, some slow roll on throttle will allow it to learn the curve, so to speak. Redlining the bike in neutral with no load isnt gonna be a good representation of how the machine will be ridden normally.
So what’s the final result ? Throttle response, low , mid range and top end torque improved ? Also decel popping cured with tune ? Let us know brutha , Pump out that result video please man !
I can't be happier with my speed twin. My first mod will be the x-pipe. Congrats bro!
I get pumped to see these notifications. Can't wait for the next one.

Stunning piece of kit

@@andrewbecker3700 thanks I totally agree with what you say and will be sticking with the oem filter
Did this to my speed twin last year with a set of gp style slip ons. Suspension should be next step.
Yeah what a difference it made. Suspension is definitely coming up!

Good to know! Thanks for the info!
Are you sure you don't mean a camshaft? ...
Ha ha, I thought that swapping the crank was a bit extreme. Defo meant cam. 😀🇬🇧
Sick channel
Well done 👍👍

does it, need to be remapped or mounted on a dongle?
Follow up, please. MOAR!!!
How was that cat removal? I hear it's a colossal pain.

Would definitely love to see that video as well! Curious about the results! 😁
@@EverythingEmpire did you post a video with results of these mods?
I can't find and am dying to know how it performed!
I’ll be waiting... starting with the basic add-ons, good deal bro
interesting 🤔🤙🏻
Salve
Why did you put that stupid snorkel back on?
