- This video is a cab cam of the 323 (on loan from Arriva Wakefield) Route from Huddersfield To Marten Nest (Netherton) but after everyone over on instagram wanted a video I couldn't miss the chance to film 261.

I know you won’t drive them but if you want to see some I think stagecoach use them as training buses and Romford bus garage is recruiting so there might be some there, also there are some open top buses stored in Romford garage at the moment.
Darts are absolute workhorses and the last simple bus built. Nice to see one been being driven carefully.

It triggers a please apply handbrake on our buses, and won't stop the warning until we've actually applied the handbrake.

Loved MPD’s, the. We got Solo SRs. Nice while it lasted.
I ride to college most mornings on a dart. They vary a lot here in north devon with stagecoach. There is one TransBus 2004 one, which is a rattly shed, but one or two of the 56 reg ones are absolutely fine. They just get a little bit rough after an hour. Our driver seems to like them tho.

I used to drive Marshall bodied dart slfs 2002 for first capital based in rainham Essex. Loved them stuck to road like glue. Drove like go karts. Very forgiving. Gearbox changed nicely steering was positive and light and good steering wheel adjustment via floor button.
That's one of my favourite buses to drive for arriva

Scania L94UB Wright Solars were my go to buses growing up, I'm still very fond of them now, though they're a dying breed and quite rare now.

Gotta love the old buses, we have an old Scania "801". She might not look pretty, or have air con, but damn it can move! Put your foot down and it has all the power you'll ever need.

Hi, great videos. I start with Arriva as a trainee bus driver in a few weeks. I have been told that as a Arriva bus driver you will have to learn all the bus routes that are available from the depot you are assigned to. Mine will be Wakefield My question is are you given plenty of time to learn the routes before you are assigned to them and do they give you some sort of a route map to take away and learn before giving you the route to drive. Maybe a video on this would be a great topic for you to explain on CZcams. Keep up with the great videos.

Yes! My favourite bus also, but stagecoach recently got rid of all of them in Cambridgeshire so I have none left 😢

We got 1 Dennis Dart Left at Arriva Hinckley & Wigston outstation 2209 SN03 LGC in Leicestershire a 17 year old bus still going strong
It’ll outlast all the newer buses, darts were made to last 🚌🚌✌🏻
I seem to recall that Shrewsbury depot had that one briefly a few years ago along with an 02 plate Wright bodied DAF. anything that isn't an Optare in that allocation always stands out haha

steering cap missing on steering wheel is this the norm city of oxford was the same ? i loved driving daimlers and bristol vrs ect done 12 year service with them .

lol yeah mostly enviro 200 here in llanelli most and there not using the darts now coz there battery has gone cause they been sitting in the yard for so long

@@RWL2012 yeah they have to keep the little darts tho coz solos are too small but Llanelli bus depot is going for sale end of October so all Llanelli drivers will have to get them in Swansea

Nice bus Really nice route would be even better if this had an AT545 gearbox but I don’t know any Wright Caddets with AT545 which are still in service

I think the only wright cadet that has an AT545 gear box that still is in service is arriva shires 2762 based at milton Keynes .
