Can't say I am interested in an electric BMX bike but may I say how well you are looking Kyle! May your health continue to improve. Rob Breen (Downunder)
Good to see you making a video again Kyle
*I am 79 and still riding BMX everyday*
KUDOS for a Great Idea! But, way pricey for the components, frame, etc... More inline with maybe $499. Looks awesome for trail riding! Lite wt, Zero Suspension, Rear mechanical disc brake only, minimal motor and battery...
Nov last year for $849 I got; 750/1200W peak, 48V 11.2AH, 180mm Hyd Disc Brakes, Head/Tail/Brake Lights, Horn, Front Suspension, 100 lb Luggage Rack, fenders, 20x4 Fat tires on a 63 lb 34mph Foldable dirtbike!
Thsts NOT A BMX bike....those Electric bikes are a dime a dozen....BMX bikes are hard to find⚠️🤔
@@tonecapone9251 😆😂🤣 LMAO...! I never called it a BMX bike! I called it overpriced for the components...
Thanks for the new content. Hope you are recovering, we enjoy your videos, value your extensive ebike knowledge and thoughtful opinions.
Nope I'm 69y/o
It's great to see you out and about! Walmart used to sell a similar ebike called the Kent Torpedo, although I think it only had a 175W motor. This one looks far more usable.
350 watt hub motor.
@@pwlyons759 I was referring to the motor on the Kent Torpedo being only 175 watts. I thint the 350 watt motor is more appropriate.
@@ricomon64 Right on brother. 👍😊
Thank God I came in under your age range! Decent review my dude, but the idea of BMX was racing in my day, the trick park was later for me. I wanted to see it on the track doing jumps, etc.
Thanks for your time and posting this review.
Swift gotta make a 24 inch bmx. HotCakes out the Door !
What a relief to see Kyle making videos. 99% of CZcams ebike content is poorly done advertorials.
As is this channel.
Wait...I'm 44.
Nice-looking bike!
I don't think it's worth $999. And what's the cable mess going down the down tube??
ya i have to agree at $999 theres much more they could have done.. im not saying its a bad bike but watching this video you can see they called out things like no protection for the disc brake and stuff... these are things even if they had just put a tiny cover over it to give it a bit of protection would have been enough but instead left it bare bones and with that its not worth that price tag imo
This would work well for my short commute to work everyday, I have a lot of pedal bmx bikes and sometimes maybe it would be fun to have an easier ride.
Don’t need to win the race.
I bought this, it comes with the cheapest tubes and tires and has quality issues. the disc brakes are a bad design with bmx in mind, this bike is weird and not worth retail.
It looks pretty cool 😎
I've miss your ebike videos im really happy to see you back on CZcams 😎
cool video :D
Most states have minimum legal age limits for eBikes. Rad is involved in a multi million dollar law suit on a case where a child died on one of their Ebikes in California.
Bro the amount of people who died on non ebikes? Where's all the lawsuits to Mongoose? Or Schwinn?
It won't go through, it's halting every sector of there small amount of people so yeah its P.r is gonna hurt, but they're gonna get better exposure, name recognition more money and innovation ton come from them. So chill out.
I don't make the laws, just stating facts that this video left out. If parents don't follow the age restrictions on eBikes set by state law and then their kids get hurt or die, the parents will be in
legal jeopardy.
yep that's California for ya
the laws there are ridiculous
@@kesenex2883 It's not just California. Almost every state has minimum age laws for eBikes.
Evolve just did it. Evolve bmx project.
Being 15 myself, the bike doesn't interest me 🤷. It seems like it be better for younger kids or kids who don't live in a big city. As always great video 🔥
as a second bike for getting around and a little fun i'd love it, as my acual bike that i huck down sets no way an electric would replace that, ilike pedaling i don't needor want another way to get lazier,
So where are the links at lols
Try a review on the ZOOZ bike
I think you’ll be most impressed
I would take my disc brakes off immediately. Bike is so light you can toss it around
Same i would have loved to have one as a kid i only had hamy down bikes but i rode them tell tell i gave then away
The main problem is that many states do not allow riders under 15 years of age to ride electric bikes on the public streets or bikeways.
Ebikes and BMX don't really mix. BMX you want a lightweight bike thats built like a tank, with balanced weight distribution. With a rear hub motor, jumping is awkward due to the weight in the rear of the bike. Furthermore Hub motors are not made for jumping; the axle is part of a complicated machine that is not made for taking crazy heavy impacts from jumps. I see people jumping their hub motors wondering why they break. A mid drive would be much better in terms of balancing the weight of the bike, and its not taking those huge impacts. But bmx bikes dont often have derailleurs so the mid drive would lose some of its mechanical advantage. I've considered putting a mid drive on an SE bike like the Fast Ripper, but never actually did it, i just think even if the weight is balanced on the bike its still too much weight for doing actual BMX. I'm of the opinion we shouldn't try and trick BMX crowd into buying an ebike thinking they will be able to BMX on it
Check out the Chimara BMX Mid drive Lightweight Titanium made 35mph baddazz mfn Bike⚠️
Come back qnd let me hear your opinion on it.💯🤘🏿👽👌🏿👽
The future of Walmart bmx maybe
battery safety, if you are going to be dropping it hard, how would that affect the batteries? unless you are targeting this product for a 15 year old, its probably illegal for anyone younger than 15, at least in CA.
It's legal in Nevada.
Teenagers ride foldables or Juiced Ripracers. This bike is kinda bad at everything it’s trying to do.
cant wait to hear about exploding bmx! lol
I need something better spec wise I'll pay extra $$$ it's already so cheap
Just wondering if maybe you should have had an actual kid test out that bike instead of a bunch of middle aged dads?
Fat tire king pushes questionable mech naw know your mkt. and this tuff is not doable in the real world.
Im 13 lol
Sick video! I just posted my comparison video with all the other top electric bmx bikes on my channel just now. Check it out if you have a moment sometime. I may need to add this bike to my list 😎
Electric Lite is better I think.
