I think you're thinking that mattock is very easy to break because of the moon challenge . Mattock actually has decent durability as you can see, you just need to use it properly
he only used the mattock 45 times, and the mattock rolls 40-60 uses, so honestly we cant know for sure how good it was, but 45 swings is pretty low for a notp any run
@@hwachakarter mattocks can break fairly quickly if you don’t use them well. While their durability varies for each you get, they generally last a while anyway. When a top runner uses a mattock though it seems they have infinite durability because they just go so fast and use it well.

Definitely not. There's a trick called Fast Quillback where you autopilot over Quillback and force a roll. I didn't get it this run, it's a 50/50 every run depending on direction.
