In all seriousness I believe the slow button is for safety car and VSC conditions so the driver doesn’t accidentally exceed the delta and get a penalty.

P3 - Bottas, loses with Max on the pit stops, can't catch him because of his typical lack of race pace
P4 - Perez
P5 - Albon, touches another car on the first lap, then recovery drive
P6 - Ricciardo, Renault loses its pace on the race but still good result
P7 - Stroll
P8 - Norris, sadly no more scenario 7
P9 - Sainz
P10 - Ocon
P11 - Leclerc, disappointing for the team, we'll come back stronger

Who would have thought 3 years ago that a Honda engine would out qualify a ferrari engine. I guess no one would have thought that... 💭
1) This year ferrari had to start from scratch the building of the power unit.... so of course they cant do miracles.
2) Ferrari hadn't any experience with v6 hybrid-turbo engine... mercedes instead has a lot of experience. So ferrari at the beginning was struggling but then managed to reach their rivals.
when you talk about engine, can you consider v6 an engine? no, v10, v12 are engines and ferrari at making them is the best. Mercedes is able to compete just with their trash v6 engines and their orrible crap sounds.
Ferrari is on the right way to compete against Mercedes, and considering the gap that there was between the two (ferrari has never made either v6 engines or turbo-hybrid engines) i think that ferrari will be able to be competitive in 2022. I hope so :)

Bottas on the other hand didnt seem as precise,or look as fast,and it showed. so no,you are wrong,it takes a certain driver to get the most out of a car. the car helps stacks,but you meed the ability to get the car to do that. the car does not driver alone,autonomously, the driver makes the car do what he wants,where he wants it and when.ill bet you,you would not be able to do that with the same car. if a guy like Max was is it,Charles ocon,vettel,etc,they might get close or match,but it isnt that simple as you think.
@@ashleydaniels1132 Yeah I know but the reason hes able to hit those apexes so accurately is the grip the car has, not necessarily hamiltons skill. If drivers like leclerc or verstappen switched cars with lewis theyd set similar times. Bottas is just not getting the most out of the car. The car is whats remarkable here, not the driver. There's multiple drivers that could set times like that in the merc, but only one car on the grid capable of setting this time.
