Great video , to be successful is all about your mindset and having personal goals and working towards them. You always need to have or setup multiple sources of income no matter how small. Take risks as you mentioned ...a great saying is if you aren't willing to take risks , you will always be employed by someone who does. Ideally for me , being self employed is always the ultimate goal, all your time and effort is for your own growth and when you are self employed, there isn't such a thing as 8 hours. you work 24/7. Work hard , play hard.

Some realy good, salient points, especially the first one about being flexible and accepting any task.Lost count on how many people take longer to explain why they wont carry out a task than the task would actually take to do.Add motivational speaking as another string to your bow.Nice one.

Selling some off now, that's the hardest part though it's fun to cycle the capital towards another piece, worthy sacrifice. Thanks Mr X, hopefully your list will help some folks push past their challenges. sadly the majority of folks aren’t willing to put forth the effort necessary to achieve success (as they define it). Haha, my lic plate on one of my cars is “NVR L8”. I think I got ya beat, I can only think of 3 times I was late… mostly natural disaster type situations. I think you left a few things out, (I know your list) but still, add this…learn from others. If you are at level “x” seek out those at the next level up and try and learn from then. Ask questions, be a sponge…. Once you level up, find someone at the next level up and repeat… And this; stay away from negative people. Surround yourself with motivated, positive people. Once you start to achieve, it’s amazing how many people will want to pull you back down. They don’t like being left behind. Distance yourself from them in a hurry. Ok hopefully that wasn’t too much…

I love this video, Mr X. These are great pieces of advice, especially for young men and women that are just starting their careers post college or trade school. One additional piece I would add that has definitely helped me be successful in my career is to ALWAYS be professional. Always be respectful and NEVER take 'the bait' of someone else's provoking/prodding for a reaction or a unprofessional response. Sometimes in meetings about difficult decisions at work disagreements can happen, or in emails, but always remain respectful and professional. This doesn't mean you roll over and agree to everything, speak your mind and give your opinion as you may have a great idea that helps the company, but do so in a calm and professional way. My two cents!
    Appreciate the video! Cheers.

There are studies out there that the general population sees a business man in T-shirt or polo and jeans as more successful than the one in a suit now. The perception of people like Zuckerberg making millions and not having to wear a suit while the lower level managers do have to wear a suit has caused a shift in general perception.
And prior to that, the suit was a shift away from men in jeans working their farm. The jeans and shirt was representative of someone who owned their own land and essentially had control of his own destiny and was seen as successful. That then shifted to the suit as office managers started making the big bucks (and Wall Street workers making insane money). Now perception is shifting again.

After putting in the work for 7 years and getting absolutely nothing for it other than to see the executives get fat bonuses, people give up. Corporations and CEOs caused this more than the workers.
Look at wage graphs from the 50s to 80s and you'll see a reasonably steady trend with CEOs and workers curving up at a steady path. In the 90s, CEO pay took off like a rocket while employee pay stagnated, no longer climbing in line with company profits. At the same time, they got more efficient and accomplished more than ever, but were never were rewarded.
I understand why so many feel hopeless that no matter how much work they put in, it will never get them anywhere. They've seen it in action for 2 decades now. There are too many soulless corporations who see employees as tools to burn through until they break, discard, and replace rather than entrepreneurial companies led by CEOs who know how to actually lead a team.

I think Unions are a great and needed concept with piss poor execution and results. It was meant to protect the hard worker and it does the opposite.

I love your comment "Dont make excuses" indeed. I always say "Im explaining why, not giving an excuse, it's still on me this happened"
Also, I dont think you NEED to do all this stuff, to live a happy life. Buying things makes some people, happy, but plenty of people are happy with what they have. Both are fine.

Great video there is a lot in it that people need to hear I personally have been striving to do just these things over the past 13 years I have been with the company I work for. As a father of six children in a married man I need to do the best I can for my family generally I work 10 to 11 hours a day while working on getting my associate's degree in business. A work-life balance it's definitely something to strive for as at the end of the day your family is always number one at the same note you always need to provide

#11 -- Don't waste money on becoming members of CZcams channels.😉 Seriously, though, I would add one that has recently become an issue, and that is don't work from home. If you want to move up in an organization, you have got to put in the facetime at work. You have got to make those interpersonal connections that simply cannot be made sitting at home on a Zoom call.

Whatever you do, take pride in it. Even if someone is better than you, still be great. If you say you're going do something, DO IT! If you find out you can't, you should be the one to report "hey I'm not going to be able to do it, but this is what I will or can do. That's how I roll.

In Europe, people are used to go for holiday for 2-3 weeks straight and Im talking complete cut-off so we tend to look down at this US approach of not being able to put your work completely behind for some time. 25 days of paid holiday per year is a norm here. Try to change this, the people would riot.

    • @ninjafoxgamesgeekery
      @ninjafoxgamesgeekery Před rokem

To be fair, Europe's approach actually makes more sense and for good reason. It's utterly asinine to have your company, a division, a department, or even just a team so reliant on one person being always accessible that everything breaks down without them.
What happens if that person doesn't take a day off, but gets T-boned by a semi-truck and is instantly killed on the way to work? That complete cut-off forces the employee to take a break (which increases productivity and profitability for the company, btw) as well as forces the company & teams to learn to be able to handle things in their absence.
There are also studies that prove the human brain simply burns out. Working 100 hours is actually less productive than 80, which is less productive than 60, which is less productive than 40 and even 40 may be less productive than 32.
Working longer is not necessarily working more efficient.

This video needed to be made! So if Mr. X works 100 hours a week as a traveling doctor to afford his statues, are you going to do the same? More than likely not, so someone's career doesn't matter. Whatever you make, save up the money to buy whatever you want. If you don't make enough money, better yourself with the 10 rules in this video so you obtain all the things you want!
