In recent videos, there have been a lot of negative people in the comments saying how just because I visit a slum area that I am not fairly/accurately/objectively portraying India, and that to the contrary I am perpetuating false beliefs and ideas about India, making it seem that it is entirely and only a poor country. I hardly want to even refute the opinions of these people, but I guess I will. It's simple really: any reasonable person on planet Earth knows that every country has rich people/places and poor people/places. If there were a content creator who only made slum videos in the U.S., I doubt there would be as many people in the comments saying similar complaints. So this experience has led me to believe that for whatever reason, some Indian people have a chip on their shoulder about their country being known for having poverty in the past. It's as if they take this fact to somehow be a reflection on them. Well the U.S. has some pretty gnarly poverty too, and none of that is a reflection on me. So I'm not really able to relate to this insecurity that certain people seem to have.
Nevertheless I'll just go ahead and make a luxurious fine dining video, and we'll see if that satisfies them. If not, no worries as it was a very enjoyable and satisfying meal, and since it was so enjoyable I'll go ahead and do these every once in a while from now on.

Hyderabad is a class apart Indian city. Modern new buildings, sprawling IT Industry, nice roads etc. You should try the Hyderabad metro it's like the best and cheapest way to get around.
Yeah I've been impressed with it as well. Tbh even though i've had a perfectly pleasant time, Hyderabad is super spread out / an urban sprawl city. Which isn't good or bad, it's just not my cup of tea as most cities in the U.S. are also characterized by urban sprawl and it's a feature of the cities back home that I don't personally enjoy
@@tommybtravels Yeah we Indians feel proud to show foreigners that even we have urban spread out sprawls with modern glass buildings and high rises like Hyderabad, Noida, Gurugram, Navi Mumbai, Bangalore etc, just because these cities have been developed massively in the past 10-15 years. For you it's not anything new though.
@@kunalkadam8025 I see, interesting. Yeah I'm from near NYC, so I actually prefer the opposite--cities / neighborhoods where people are living more or less on top of each other, which India still has plenty of too. Gotta love the diversity of India

Haha also a man of culture I see. Honestly olive oil is healthy and calorie dense. If you go to one of these fancy places and want to guarantee you'll be full at the end, soaking lots of bread in absurd quantities of olive oil is probably the best way to do it.
To their credit this restaurant's portion sizes were solid given that it's a higher end place. But no harm in just making sure you get your money's worth by doing the bread and olive oil strategy haha

@@tommybtravels sorry, not get me in a wrong way I literally waited for the video when you get down from the bus in HYD, where you went, how people accepted you, of course it may be my curiosity, but I don't judge the way you creat the content, the pune to hyd bus video really connected me the way you learn Hindi, the way you communicated with locals, the soul is missing in HYD video

Yeah I mean for Hyderabad I'll have the Charminar video, a biryani video, this video, a haleem video upcoming, and that's probably it. I was thinking about going to the film city but decided against it, and I wanted to do a video about the tech scene here but it didn't work out and that one will have to wait until next time.

Dropdown your social handles - Instagram/Twitter etc for SEO and also it would be great to post some clickbaity shorts on CZcams from these videos, that would get you Zillion subscribers before you leave India 🚀
Interesting ideas. Yeah I'm still undecided about linking my pages from other platforms on the CZcams about page. Anyway I'm on IG/FB/Twitter as tommybtravels, I'm just not nearly as active over at those platforms yet. Still trying to think of my strategy for posting over on those platforms tbh.
Good point regarding the shorts. Still learning how to convert long videos from CZcams into shorts using the CZcams Creator Studio, but that's definitely on the list.

I was thinking, Tommy.....what if you made a few simple business cards with the "Name of your channel" on it....just to hand out to folk, as you probably noticed a lot of people asking you. I am sure you should be able to find a print store that could make you a few real quick for nothing at all. That way you don't have to keep repeating yourself and there is no miscommunication causing you lose a potential subscriber. Just a thought...
I had noticed it done by another big time YTer from the UK. His accent was very strong and a lot of folks couldn't understand him, including myself and he was speaking English. 😂
The dude was quick like magician with a card and would hand it out. Some folks treated it like a gift 😂 . I guess it like having a selfie with a foreign person, which the locals love. I bet if you showed up ten years from now, they would still have it. I noticed they value little things like that. Just good hearted people!
