I like how you feature the sound of the wind and the water and especially the songs of birds. Also nice touch showing clouds of mosquitoes. Gotta keep moving!

Video is very well done. Having grown up in SW Wyoming, the Winds are one of my favorite places in the world.
BTW, Washakie Pass is pronounced WASH-a-kee. Thought you would want to know. (named after a Shoshone indian chief who my great great grandparents knew)

I have to say, you have made the Wind River area seem a little less "rocky" than other videos and pictures I have seen! It hasn't been high on my list of places that I have wanted to backpack because in too many pictures and videos the place didn't seem to have enough of a rock / forest balance. Maybe you are starting to change my mind!

Beautifully done video. You really captured the Wind River Range in all its spectacular grandeur. Thanks for including the piece at the end showing the route you took. Very helpful for planning.

I can see why it was so dry in late August, as I am surprised to see so little snow on your trip.

This trip actually took place in late July. I guess I never noticed it being drier than normal...perhaps a low snow year.

Have you tried using a level app while filming?
I use a similar setup, it’s a bit tedious to switch from the camera to the level app, I’ve wondered if just carrying a tiny one would work better.
    Fantastic footage.

How's the swimming in those lakes? I'd want to get refreshed every night if possible!

Hey George, would you say there were ample spots for bear hangs on your route? I was out by Titcomb last year and it wasn't great for hangs.

Yes there were options for bear hangs at all my campsites as there were plenty of big pine trees around. I use an ursack which does not require hanging.
