As a Land O Lakes Native, I can tell you that developers, realtors, investors, and the county commissioners on their payroll have succeeded in destroying everything that once made this a great place to live. Traffic has become horrendous, cost of living has skyrocketed, and every square inch of land is being paved and turned into apartments, storage facilities, or car washes. Once rural FL has been stripped of every dollar you can make from it, where will you go next ?
