    Nice work, the painting looks great. Too bad the figures themselves are not up to today's standards as far as sculpting and proportions but you turned a sows ear into a silk purse! I see you used the old tea candle trick for the CA glue as well. As far as filming goes I guess you know now how hard it is to stay in focus and in frame but overall you did a fine job. Congrats m8!

      Thank you so much, means a lot to me with that coming from you🙏 yes the figures weren't the easiest base to work with, but on the other hand I was very curious how they would turn out and what result I could reach with them. So even better if they turned out nice😊 filming this was very challenging too, it looks so easy and smooth when looking at your bust painting videos, but it really is hard work. I guess the crucial tip for me was using a cellphone, so thanks again for that.🙏😊 using a tea candle is still working, so no need to find new solutions 😉😁

      @@836dmar it's to put super glue on wax, somehow it doesn't dry out fast there and stays workable longer. Like this you can take smaller amounts of glue from it for longer time.

    First video ive watched of yours, absolutely outstanding workmanship, i was glued 😂 from start to finish, i suppose im a bit old school still staying with my old faithful humbrols, but really must venture into some different paints, im sure i would get better results, when theres lots of shades to choose from, but well done, be watching some more of your work👏👏💯%😊

      Thank you very much, very happy to read you liked my work, and made it to the end of the video😅 well, I am not saying it's impossible with Humbrol paints, but for me it's way easier to work with acrylics. It's just so easy to dilute them with water or retarder and create glazes or shaders. And it's never to late to try new things and widen the horizon 👌😉

      @@natalebabbo-gunplaanddioramas I use tap water from the clothes dryer because it's cleaner and has no chalk in it, dilute the paint with it until it's very thin and then do several layers until I am satisfied with the coverage. You will get a feeling for what is too thin or too thick with the time. You can also use retarder for thinning the paint if you want to blend in the paint into earlier applied layers, for shadows or highlights for example.

    Superb job sir!
    I'm finding it hard to source good quality really fine brushes. I paid a lot for some Army Painter ones but was very disappointed as the hairs kept separating.
    What do you use?

      Thanks a lot, much appreciated 🙏 my favourite brushes so far are Winsor & Newton Series 7 00. Had some good Princeton brushes too, but the W&N are my best so far. I order them online and there too it can happen that there is a bad one, but you can return them in that case.

      Thank you very much, very happy to hear you like my video, and for your support. Yes right, good brushes are important, you will feel the difference if you use a good brush over a cheap one. I use a Winsor & Newton Series 7 00 most of the time, for the smallest details I switch to a Series 7 Miniature 000. You can see them in 6:03 in the video.       Thank you my friend, happy you like it🙏😊 yes, zooming in would be great for future projects, my setup isn't the best for such tiny filming. I hope to improve this in the future.
      Yes music😁 hard to find something that matches to the video and isn't annoying. And I was actually thinking about making voice over, but english is not my native language and there would be a strong german accent 😂 maybe I think about it if I try this in future videos.

      Thank you very much, much appreciated 🙏😊 Answer: both. You can use the blending brush dry or moistened with retarder, that would give a more subtle, smoother result. Just give it a try what you are going for in the situation 👌

    Love how they look had a quick question if I have a tiger one that's in 135 scale the driver and men in it are not at 135 scale are they or are they smaller might be a stupid question but wanted to order some more infantry but wanted them to be the same size as the ones that came in my tiger one

      Thank you. Do I get you right? You are afraid that figures you buy additional to the kit are bigger or smaller than the ones from the kit? As long as they are all 1/35 there shouldn't be a problem. They can be slightly different, but that is okay as not all humans have the same size, so it should be fine in general.

    Great video. I shall use to help me paint my own figures. Question. I have a set of WW2 US army figures in rain capes. Any ideas on how I can make the capes look wet as if they have been walking in rain? Thanks Dave

      Thank you very much, really happy to read you like my video. For the rain effect, depending on how strong you want the effect to be, I would try it with coats of glossy varnish, building up in several layers until you are happy with it. Or for an even stronger effect, try a still water product. They look great, but are quite thick compared to paint, so apply it in thin layers.

    Good job. Only thing, I think the guy carrying the MP-40 has it facing the wrong way. I think it should be muzzle forward or it's too hard to get it into action fast. Also, upper part of the MP-40 folding stock butt plate is missing. I'm just getting started on figure painting. Last one I did was in 1975 with testors bottle paint. Shading? Washes? Blending? Never heard of them. 😄

      Yes the stock butt had an accident while building and the part got lost never to be seen again. So this is a new version😉😂 and maybe you are right with him handling the weapon, but I think this is similar to wearing it over the shoulder and he has a grenade in his hand, so I guess he wouldn't be ready fast anyway. So yes, technically I think you are right, but life has many ways of doing things😉 thank you for your thoughts🙏

      Well it might be easier to paint, but gluing painted parts to a figure with super glue can be messy, and using plastic glue on unpainted parts is always better adhering. Also, it is no real problem painting the glued on parts, more a good opportunity to practice and train the brush hand, as far as I see it.👌😊
