I saw one in Alaska while canoeing. It was about 3 ft tall perched on the top of a tree, then it swooped down off the tree flying about 15 feet above the water. Estimated wingspan was 12 feet. Quite an awesome sight. I never saw a bald eagle that big

No way an eagle can lift even a small child from ground level. But if a deer of same mass was on a mountain the eagle can easily drag it off the slope and glide with it given the right Wind condition

Yeah, actually watched a documentary and a new born deer was taken by one of these... They replayed the scene a couple of times, but it was still hard to believe. Combed the internet looking for that scene but this is definitely comparable.
Unbelievably Awesome !!! This golden eagle flew in the wind,, holding the dazed fox,. home to feed the entire family. I'm sure there was no problem there given size, pair of talons, not to mention the sharp beak. This was mature in the raw, at its best

They've been known to get baby calves, goats,wolves(mom tried to get there sooner,.but the wide wing expansion blocked then knocked her down. Pup was already lifeless in take off. One of the saddest domestic animal grab and fly was when a bald eagle snatched a house pet a cat to be exact, without putting talons on.the ground. Poor cat was just totally swept off all fours in a blink of an eye. Didn't want to watch anymore videos.on that day.

I would guess you are correct considering there is what appears to be a leather snare attached to the foxes leg.
