  • Automatrics took a call from a plant hire company saying one of their Takeuchi TB23R mini diggers had been stolen near Leicester. The machine was fitted with a covert Automatrics MTrack theft recovery device which was remotely triggered into alarm, but Automatrics after the connection were unable to receive a GPS fix.
    A radio signal finder was dispatched to try to track down the stolen machine. Follow the finder to see how this theft recovery operation turns out.

    What an awesome tv show this would make. You guys have done like 80% of the work, high quality filming, editing and your're really good at comminicating on camera, so a tv station could easily turn this into a cracking season or 2.

      If you mean they take the digger and wait for them to return, they will be able to spot it gone from some ways away so you need lots of camera's to cover the area and if they come at night when it's dark they will be hard to identify inside a dark forest in camera.

    Recovery is fine. Where are the thieves? Whose property was the machine on? No police report? The insurance pays for damage to the machine?

    Looks like a nice place to store miniature panzers...but unfortunately not good enough... would be great to hide a well camouflaged trailcam on that site to see the disappointed face of the thief...

    i really hope these blokes are bringing some heat with them. i know its very unlikely for the thief's to still be around and to even confront them about it if they were. but you never know how desperate some criminals could be and what might drive them to murder.

    You could save time with a drone ,i adm ire your dedication ,we need more people with the same drive .it would be nice to see more thieves going to jail .

    • @AutomatricsMtrack
      @AutomatricsMtrack  Před 3 lety

      We have and do use a drone but its a slow process as we have to follow strict operational rules which includes making a fly plan to the same basic detail as a 747.

    How much does one of those things cost?
    Should get a 360 camera. would be useful to see where you are looking when driving around etc. like when you went into the farm and looking through the barns etc but we couldnt see that. 360 camera might be useful.

    Nice to see the recovery but if the thieves are not caught the problem wont be resolved . It just means they will try elsewhere. Very unsatisfactory in my book.

    Do the insurance companies ever pay you guys any commission when you recover a vehicle? Or do you just get what the customer pays for the device and subscription plan?
