- Here is, at last... and I apologize for what you could call a "Goliathus Hiatus" my first "original" SFM. It's animation 101 but I have enjoyed making it and I'm open to critics and advices for potential new content.

I've perfectly organized every shot of this SFM for easy use and customization. So if you want to acquire this project, to maybe cut, shorten, stretch, change or modify a scene, you can! You might also want to play around with the cameras and make new shots, add new threats, swap models, make memes, even create dramatic lighting to make it your own, that's possible too ! You may simply want to see how it was animated or support the channel, then feel free.

For some reason the medic has more combat experience than most of the team
I think that's a Metal Gear easter egg. You see in the Metal Gear universe Medic's voice actor also voiced a guy named *Kaz* who is also good at fighting.

He has more experience with spies, maybe, which, as a medic main, I think tracks.
despite the walking and facial animations being a bit stiff, the action scenes are super great especially the last one with spy and medic. overall I really like it and im glad you're still making content

Having sniper and medic be experts at close range hand to hand makes a lot of sense since sniper would need it when he’s not sniping, and medic would neat it since pretty much all of his weapons are close range.
I love how the only person who managed to gain some upper hand was the medic.
What’s not talked about enough is the sound design.
It’s beautifully done, with the fight scene at 0:36 being a perfect example, having soft whooshes, clothes shuffles and knife draws combining to make an understandable and readable fight.

To be honest medic is the one class you don’t want to get in a melee fight with, the random crits are painful.
I like how out of all of BLU team, their Medic is the most experienced when it comes to dealing with spies
We all know medics get killed by spies most of the time. This one had flashbacks of them backstabbing his medic buddies.
It tracks, lol.
That roll at 2:48 was really impressive. There were some parts of the animation that did feel a bit stiff or awkward, but you did really well with the Medic fight alone. I'm looking forward to what you will make in the future.
Finally! Sniper gets a proper “he can fight” moment, I appreciate that as a sniper main myself.
The animations, the choreography.
Also like the detail, that main character is not absolutely overpowered and destroy everyone on sight, overcoming difficulties along the way, making these extended fights AMAZING!
Good work, man. From an admirer: extend the life span of the l4d2 impact dirt particle and change it's apature to 125 and color it whatever tone You please. It will help to replicate the bright lights that are used by the John Wick 3 cinematohrapher. The action sequences are fantastic, You've gotten a good hang of it.
Fuck, these hand to hand scenes are amazing. I don't think I've seen SFMs that has that kind of style.
It's so great to see the mercs actually FIGHT in an SFM. Like throw down hands and kick, punch, and even struggle against one another. Rare sight, I love it and you did great!
I love how the dude puts actual martial arts moves in the fight scenes instead of just putting random punches, and dont even get me started on the actual butterfly knife moves and i love how he recreates moves from the john wick movies like just look at the fight scene with the medic
The highlight sure is against Medic one, but 1:20 with Sniper took me out first. Man, all the supports being good at martial art is a really cool idea! Good job.

I never though of Medic being any kind of martial arts style fighter, but now that I've seen this I think it fits him pretty well. I've rewatched it so many times already just for the last fight scene. Fantastic stuff, man

Medic Vs Spy is not something that I thought of seeing as the final battle.
I will literally have to rewatch some of these action scenes on 0.25x / frame by frame so I can learn from the way you animate action scenes. Really well done. I love the detail where Spy's sharp dresser falls out and he picks it up to throw, also you really did make Medic a badass at the end.
This is actually pretty sick! I won't lie, the part where Medic and Spy fought was both epic and funny at the same time.

I wasn’t expecting anything at all when I clicked on this, but I am very impressed. The hand-to-hand martial art punching-and-kicking stuff was particularly impressive. Also it felt weirdly fresh and new to have the Medic be the biggest threat; he is physically larger than I normally realize since he’s always next to these other giant lumbering guys. There were also some shots I really enjoyed. Particularly the shots of the Medic’s glasses sliding on the floor and the shot of the Pyro exploding and a gas canister rolling off of their corpse. Overall the shot choices for the action felt very natural and everything was readable and easy to follow. Well done!
If I had to choose one thing that could be improved upon, it’d probably be facial animation and lip syncing. Although there wasn’t much dialogue, character acting through the face can still bring out a lot of extra emotion. I liked the expressions on the Heavy when he saw the Soldier’s corpse; he looked fairly unfazed in a way that I thought made sense for the character in that scene. I do think, however, that the facial expressions of the Medic could have been extra severe and menacing, and the RED Spy’s “I’ll be seeing you” line could have maybe had some sort of twisted mirth thrown in there, as if he took a sort of pleasure in his work, which the chosen voice line is kind of implying.
for the pyro on 1:39 what last word used to be"aw, F**k"
Medic clearly improved in melee combat so he can combat enemy spies as well as other class mercs in melee this definitely makes medic even more dangerous upclose.
For a feedback i wanna say this SFM definitely deserves more views and respect, if you ask for suggestions
I could say maybe make them more serious and faster at fighting and not like those new players in games.
This spy is so good that he has the cloak watch and dead ringer equipped
the fact that medic held the best against spy was just magnificent. who would know that the medic the guy thats ment to heal is skilled in hand to hand combat.

I don't know why but I hint of nostalgia of the Spy Creed from this. The fighting scenes were great. Sound affects were good. And yeah that other guy's comment about the face animations is true, other than that. Amazing.

the fight animations are phenomonal despite the minor issues that others have stated already.
I personally think if you want to show this Spy is very skilled and an expert you should also make the enemies even smarter (like the Medic), like what if that Heavy predicted that the Spy could be using a dead ringer? Of course this would increase the things you have to plan and animate so thats understandable if you dont want to make it too complex lol
Altho there are people who already mention the flaws in the animation, I'd like to point that other than the stiffness, everything else is well done. The color, lighting and the expression. The actions are really amazing. Great animation, man

excellent choreography! i actually really like the lack of music for the medic fight, keeps the focus on just the animation, i think some music playing in the rest of the video beforehand just for the sake of cutting it at that point would have heightened the fight even more. great stuff!
Lovely animation work, found this through someone who shared it to me, I love the choreography of the fight scenes and also the use of voice clips/lines for any speech and also grunts and stuff. Keep up the good work! 👍subbed!
P.S. really enjoyed the Spy vs Medic scene, that one is my personal fave ~besides Medic being my fave lol~ and he held his own the longest. Seems he got the more merciful fate of being knocked unconscious instead of straight up killed. (unless he's killed after the ending cut to black)

This is really well done holy shit ! Some movement seems a bit slow but the action is great! Although I do think some music in the background could’ve made it better, but there was probably a reason why it wasn’t included

I applaud you for the effort you put into this animation. I've re-watched this many times to see the minor details and references. I can say it certainly pays off, resulting in a quality SFM.
0:53 Shooting the head, but you hit the helmet instead; reference to MGS5
2:07 This is so subtle. I love this part, using the reflex mode sound and blending it with the sentry sounds and engineer's voice just like MGS5. I never see the reflex mode sound effect ever used at all ever, it supplements to capture that final moment.
The medic and spy fight part, 2:21 was funny at first just by how the medic was walking. But I guess the stiff movements gives your animation uniqueness. Whilst blending the ambient noises of the 2fort intel base and not opting to use music works giving it realism, is what I think you're going for.
2:40 ahh, another great part looks like you were inspired from a mix of 'the matrix trilogy' fight scenes. Really liked this part. It looked liked this part was done in motion capture.
Overall, I enjoyed and can appreciate the extra effort you put into this SFM. I could on more about the details but it would too long to read. The facial expressions and knife drawing animations were a nice touch too, but I like to focus on smallest details :)
Absolutely phenomenal work, it might be up there with Crash Maul's SFMs for my favourites.

Some things like the facial animations are a bit stale, and some parts like when the medic dropped his crossbow is a bit too.. sudden, stiff and robotic. But overall such an awesome animation, lovely lighting and cinematography in general! Awesome!!

Holy sh1t man! When I saw the views before clicking the video I didn't expect much, but hell! This looks amazing! I even watched it fram by frame and the details are on a different level. Yeah the timing could be better at places but it doesn't take away anything. I hope it'll get the attention it deserves.
