@@Flipcrash not really denial. Jist think about it. One of the world's greatest superheroes murders another great hero. Why would you think they did it of their own free will it makes no sense. That's like a world famous breadmaker that made a book on their love for bread and it's many beautiful forms and nuances suddenly condemning bread and all bread related things and cursing it as disgusting. It just doesn't make rational sense.
@@Flipcrash not denial. Purely logical. Think of it from Mark’s point of view. He loves his father, he looks up to his father more than anything, he thinks his father is the greatest super hero in the world, etc. it makes perfectly logical sense for someone in his shoes to jump to the conclusion that his father is being controlled. NOT denial, but genuine belief.
@@Machiavelli2pc I'm confused because everyone is describing denial. Mark cant fathom that his dad would do that and so thinks of other solutions that make the most sense. He is denying the truth and isn't accepting it.
@@Flipcrash He's not denying truth, he's trying to find out what the truth is. Literally seconds ago, he saw his dad fighting off a Kaiju (he'd think he's saving the world) and they were fighting it off and then seconds later a dead man came back and his dead killed him off. So of course he'd be *looking* for the truth the way Mark tried to see if he was being controlled.
Denial is more like the stuff he says later on in the episode... like saying *You love me, you love my mom* and all that. But his first reaction which was thinking his dad was being controlled? That was just him trying to figure it out. It also stems from his former belief that his dad is a good person.
What I can assume from clues given in the show is that Omniman's original plan was to stall Earth's invasion to spend a human lifetime with his wife and son until they died of old age. But as soon as his son got his powers, (like he said in the finale), Omniman knew his previous plan was no longer realistic since his son would live just as long as him, therefore he could no longer wait for his son's eventual death.
That makes perfect sense!
But then he'd have to stop mark from ever having kids cuz otherwise he'd had grandkids to maybe care about.
I interpreted things a bit different. I feel like Omn-iman wasn't stalling because of his family, but because he needed to confirm Mark had powers. He anticipated Mark getting them alot sooner and if he had, Nolan would've "taught him better." It's much easier to manipulate a child then a teenager. I believe if Mark went another 3 years with no powers, Nolan would've moved forward with the invasion anyway. No point in explaining to a half breed with no powers who will die in 70 years. Debbie was the big hero in this and the anomaly that happened to Nolan. She put love in his heart and completely compromised him, which is why he left. But again that's just what I got. I havent read the comics.
i disagree, he said his people were stretched out thin my guess is that they mate and spend about 19 years to see if the life forms are worth keeping in order to make more viltramites, and if they can also help evolve,
But he could have waited for his wife's death... I guess he actually just thought of her as a pet...

So the wife is actually the hero of the whole thing she had the most influence where it counted.

She’s strong as hell too, she was slowly learning the truth and waited to know and not jump to conclusions. And when she heard all those horrible things and watched her husband beat her son to the door step of death, she could still look at mark with a smile and say “I’m proud of you” like the pain she was going through every moment this season. She is a very well written character! And I honestly thought she was weird when we met her with that bathroom scene lol

Omni man is actually one of the youngest Viltrumite's from Viltrum. There are much more Viltrumite's older than him. Also he is the third strongest Viltrumite of all Viltrum and a Viltrumite that always holds back and makes decisions based on emotions. The rest of the Viltrumite's are not at all like Nolan. Not at all, imagine a WHOLE planet of them Lmfaoo😂😂

@@ttmuh Dependable, here's the thing Thragg is definitely the strongest Viltrumite he was raised and trained to be like that. Nolan is a young Viltrumite but has a ton of battle experience with working with the likes of Conquest and Thragg. That is why he is so strong compared to other Viltrumite's despite his age. Conquest is an older version of Thragg but without the training, experience and growing up Thragg had. So Nolan and Conquest are fairly even with Conquest being a little stronger because of his age an experience. If Nolan pushed his limit though he could tie or beat Conquest though.

People don't stop to realize...that Omni man is thousands of years old...he was raised in the most brutal militaristic socieity that exists...and in ONLY 17 years he over came thousands of years of conditioning because of his love for his son. The SHEER amount of will power to overcome and abandon all that he knows is being TotALY missed. People struggle to break smoking habit after only 10 years of doing it...how many people cant overcome bad habits and they only live 80 years. This man's love for Mark is beyond strong!

Well fuck! This episode was so brutal yet so emotional. Omni-Man is a damn good villain, such as a savage. The carnage and collateral damage was some of the best I’ve ever seen portrayed. They did not hold back on the gore. Cecil stays being MVP. I feel for Art and Debbie, they really lost someone that they found out to be an entirely different person. As for Mark, I’m glad he’s at least got his girl and his friends who are all on the same page now. I’m excited for whats to come, especially after that montage at the end. Fuck, what a season.

We don't know how strong show Homelander is, but he hasn't done anything super impressive so far. We definitely know how strong comic Homelander is though, and he's not even remotely close to Omni-Man. Even Immortal would utterly destroy him.

Those Zombie robot things are called Reani-Men (because of course they are). Also, just to add a little more terror, Omni-Man is stronger than the average Viltrimite but he is no where near the strongest.
