Really enjoyed listening to this. I must have watched An Unearthly Child a hundred times and I must comment to say that your old woman's voice was totally spot on..I had to chuckle when you were reading her bits..Good on you and very nicely done.
Wow, thank you!
This is really good mate, I've listened to it twice and your reading reminds me of the days when they still made an effort for the radio before it all went onto podcasts and CDs 👌🤣
Many thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thank-you so much for sharing this wonderful story with us, I really enjoyed listening to it
My pleasure. So glad you have enjoyed it.
THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO ADAPT THIS STORY,CONSIDERING THAT RIGHTS ISSUES MAY SCUPPER THIS EVER BEING RELEASED ON AUDIO BOOK FORMAT. MOST APPRECIATED, THANKS.
My pleasure.
Well this is a genuine surprise hearing one of 8 Targets i cant get hold of. And hearing it read by mega fan and DJ i know well in Tassie. Well done mate, im reading Invasion its great. But listening to this when i can. Cheers, Scott
Thanks so much Scott! Great to hear from you. It's been a long time!
Outstanding reading and voice work, particularly the voices of Za and Kal, even capturing their inflections. You have definitely earned a new subscriber. Keep up the awesome work!
Thanks so much. Really appreciate the feedback.
Nice work dude thanks
You're welcome.
mett terrence dicks; liked him a olot, as well as the simplicity of his story-telling: your narration is good and the music is not intrusive. [i just about recall this episode - it had me hooked, way back then].
Thanks for the feedback. Yes Terrance was very influential to a lot of us.
That was an absolute treat for the ears! :) It certainly hit different just with audio, but it was excellent nonetheless. Talk about a bumpy introduction to time and space travel.
One of my favorite parts of this is the unseen rise of the radiation counter--and with it a rising tension in the viewer.
Thanks for the comment. Gad you enjoyed it.
This was great. I have a Dr Who book which is literally falling to pieces. This was something like the story I read in it but it may have been a variation in this theme. Great teaching. I really enjoyed it. Do you have any others? Thanks
Thank you!
Such a wonderful telling of the story. Some things seem to come to life better in word then on film. I suppose the opposite is true in some cases as well. Nevertheless you have a wonderful reading voice and i appreciate your effort. It helps the overnight shifts go by much quicker. May I suggest "The Daleks" next? I will enjoy whatever you give us however. Thank you.
Thank you for that. I'm glad to be able to help you while away the hours on your overnight shift! I probably won't do The Daleks as it has been done officially, but I released a few chapters of The Seeds of Death a couple of weeks back. The video explains while it's not the whole book. czcams.com/video/w4L_9Cc7yHk/video.html
great story and great reading.. bravo :) its such a shame that Terrance's son is a total (insert expletive here) for the rights to allow the BBC to re air the original pilot (all for the hope of royalty payments he would never get... ) at least we have these .. nicely done btw loved the reading :)
Many thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed, I'm impressed.
Thank you very much!
Great reading sorry for typos
Thank you!
We need to find all the original BBC DOCTOR WHO videos and have them restored for prosperity.
Let me know when you find them.
Wasn't the script writer Anthony Coburn Australian? So quite apt to have an Aussie reader. Refreshing to have a different accent. This should be made commercially available. Excellent reading! 👏👏
He was indeed! There is a huge story behind the commercial availability of this story. That's why I decided to make this unofficial reading available.
I'm glad I've never seen it in a box ; it's Sooo big in my mind!
Seen what in a box?
@@earthshadows2 I never saw this episode of Dr Who on TV yet. Remember when the teacher tells the doctor it's impossible that this room is in in a police call box? Thanks for sharing! Mario SirSirReal Villarreal.
@@mariovillarreal8647 You're welcome
An add every two minutes. How can this be a fun listen?
Now in 2023, with Wizards Of The Coast having released the DOCTOR WHO commander decks, one can follow the audio books using images printed on the cards.
I don't know what this is.
@@AudioSirens One of the latest sets of four themed Magic The Gathering Commander decks that the collectible card game company Wizards Of The Coast have recently released has been themed with the Doctor Who television series.
A story with potential but as it is it's flawed. Not only is it repetitious in parts but some bits are just absurd. One bizarre thing is that not only is the speech of the Neanderthals incredibly advanced, how is it possible that the Doctor can converse with them as if they were neighbours in London? And how can they see so well in the sealed cave of skulls with no light source?
Audio is no good to me! I want to see the full episode on video.
