Only in Generals/GenEvo can you have such incredible vehicle combat. The army sizes are so satisfying, watching that giant vehicle battle between Khay and Dadasda was awesome
I mean. You can have very identical combat situations in generals and zero hour too. Only difference is the slightly better looking graphics.
Huge battles without lag it's the best unlike zero hour
The GLA being mainly a background player that affects the game with quick and brutal surprise attacks at opportune moments was absolutely killer, both from an entertainment standpoint and the fact that it adheres to how the GLA are in-lore, by far my favorite part of this match.
Zockerpro is that one guy that is more concerned with making a beautiful base than winning the game. RIP Helixes.
Zockepro has never once played liked pro the entire match

If I'm not mistaken, Dadasda is Bikerushowns, so it's no wonder he kept his cool for so long

DADASDA made a very clever move by reinforcing his border with SGOROO. It forced GLA to fight vs KHAY which resulted in many canseled nukes. So ZOCKERPRO was locked in the corner, SGOROO unwillingly teamed up and KHAY was basically left alone versus the world. And this is why you either not attack or burn everything to ashes - leaving your enemy alive lets him strike back with courage and fury
I thought zockerpro will help him to clean up the USA but still he attacked khay with nuclear missile sad dadasda base expansion really owned the match
In many-player matches, especially FFAs, I believe it would be a good idea to enforce a rule of no surrender until 2 players remain. A single player guerrilla fighting could influence the outcome via “butterfly effect”.
Yeah it would be interesting. If only the game had a "kill all units" mode like in the original RA2 YR so that selling away all structures wont defeat you.

@@Zorisura yes, there's SCUD Storm in 0.21 and so in new 0.3. Didn't build it probably because had no money.
Fun to watch from this perspective. Didn't realize how many mistakes one could do. Also, damn, that battle during 38 minute looks so fucking nice on high details!
Props for sgoro for making this game so fun to watch.
There are a few issues I noticed when trying out the mod:
1. China's Gatling tanks have a very long aggro range, so they will automatically start moving out to attack enemy units far away, causing unnecessary losses against a stronger enemy force when you are still mustering.
2. The specialized generals are not fully implemented yet, for now only USA laser general has new units and most of his features, all other Generals in the game only have at most one or two of their unique units/features (USA Superweapon, China Tank) or none at all (USA Air Force, China Nuke, Infantry, GLA Stealth, Toxin and Demolition). The lack of elite infantry like pathfinders, hijackers, minigunners is a bit of a bummer too.
But yeah apart from that it is a fantastic mod. Just waiting for the rest of the generals to get their full loadout and specialization otherwise it's more of Vanilla Generals now, since Airforce and Superweapon general have crusader tanks.
Demolition General does have Katyushas, the GLA rocket launcher seen in this match that replace the rocket buggy. It wasn't in the original Zero Hour game but its the only GLA general thats different from the rest right now.
The Gatling and possibly other maybe for air targeting. Unsure about this here, but in original ZH if I don't set their vision range to the longer range of their AA, they won't auto target air units until they are in ground target range.

Holy crap, the whole one hour is action packed! It takes me the same time to complete one match against a normal army because either I’m too scared to attack with my units or I keep rebuilding my buildings and forces 😅

Surprisingly, Red Alert 3 engine looks better on a realistic art design then cartoony design like RA3.

I had no clue this mod existed, I never thought I would be watching a CnC Gen match in 2022. I have got to check this mod out. I feel like everyone just kept Sgoroo alive because he was a buffer against others getting to close.

Dadasda even had to play without a minimap for the most part, since he didn't get it back after his initial command center got destroyed. (he's Bikerushownz)

If Zocker had had the sense to do a combined forces assault instead of leavng the overlords by themselves, he would've made critical progress against Khay and could've established a foothold. But he just pulled a Russia and let his tanks die unsupported twice. I would argue he didn't even play the game, he never did anything of note. And then he just chickened out. Didn't do his username any justice.
I love how usually the USA generals get ganged up early game but then survives, rebuilds and beats everyone to a pulp late game.
does this mod come with a campaign mode? I haven't played this game for so long, kinda want to reinstall
No campaign as of right now. Not sure if they ever plan on adding one.
no it doesn't but they recreated a few campaign maps like the USA mission where you have ships bombarding the GLA
What changed that crusaders battlemaster etc are viable in this mod? And not in vanilla zero hour
Anyone know what the generals get exactly in this mod? I know tank gets emperor overlords but IDK what infantry and nuke gets, since there were no mini-gunners and nuke battlemasters/overlords when I tried them.
Infantry has no tanks but the minigunner can be pretty deadly if used properly. Nuke general has nukes. The battlemasters get the nuke engine from the start

In gen evo, its still relatively incomplete as there are no minigunners, no Nuke battlemasters or overlords

So wtf was going on with Zockerpro, it seemed they were not paying any attention or mind? It boggles me as to why they would sit there when there was plenty of opportunity to lay waste to the other players.
Granted I haven't played this mod but it does surprise me how people don't know how to counter emp patriot missiles

@@paulsd9255 The main units I used were infantry with tank or artillery support, but im not familiar with what units are in this mod and I never saw any china player use the one vehicle that had a chance to jam missiles, cant remember the units name though. Never saw any angry mobs either, with the ak47 upgrade 3-4 of them can take out a decent amount.
@@williamdavis5818 yeah IIRC infantry are still very limited, not even sure ECM is in the mod yet
@@paulsd9255 ECMs are in the mod but I dont think they have the missle jamming feature yet so all missles will hit them whether they are attacking or not.

No campaign yet but users have been able to make custom mission maps that you can download separately as an addon.
I wish this mod is on consoles, watching this gets me fired up for some command and conquer generals 😭

Generals and the Evo version of it is so much fun to watch vs the standard cookie cutter rock paper scissors games out there.
It could have been a great endgame if yellow and purple teamed up. It's a huge shame that yellow quit for no reason.

Unlike RA3, you can’t move your MCV here and relocate for a comeback or a second chance
But you can build a new command center or expansion unit as many of these players did.
only one superweapon or many like in the generals game?
I think the current version is one because of RA3. Maybe in the future they’ll add a box to allow multiple.

Game is running at 30, footage is interpolated up to 60fps in the edit.

and the build system of generals i loved it that you could send your workers all over the map and build wherever you want

This is a mod for Red Alert 3, and there's a download link in the description of the video. You do need Red Alert 3 already installed for the mod, but you can get RA3 on Steam or Origin.

The mod and the regular game have different launchers. Launch RA3 through Steam/Origin is the regular game, when you install the mod there will be a separate exe or shortcut to launch the mod.

the only stuff that i hate from this mod is that it is a RA 3 style of base building.
don't get me wrong easily, this mod is awesome and i like it plus it gives the competitive feeling at the early game where you need to manage resource but at late its a tank fest.

For the state of obliviousness to clear:
"Zocken" in german is colloquial speech for "gaming" that stemmed from a gambling background, while "pro" is an foreign word from English casually used here.
A "Zocker" is a person that plays games henceworth.
So : "gamer pro" it means, in case some of you might wonder.
There is also a RA3 player from years ago, I think he was German, who was named Zocker.
