I first heard of Metric during COVID and have loved their music ever since. Deep songwriting, evolving music, just superb all around.
Doomscroller is all about what happened during the theatrics of C19 and where we are as a society today. It is VERY meaningful to me and it's one of the best songs by Metric. The entire Formentera album is incredible. Their music has only gotten better with time. I've been listening for 20 years, and it's been quite the ride. I can't wait for Formentera II.

I had the honor of meeting Emily and Jimmy on the airplane headed to Mexico, City from Houston, Texas, 10/18/2023, I then, later, saw them outside the Mexico City International airport as they were getting ready to leave the airport in their travel van, I asked them if I could have a photo taken with them, they were so nice about it and said yes. The photo turned out to be a short video instead because the video button was depressed by mistake. I now have such a keepsake, a recorded memory I certainly treasure. Both Emily and Jimmy were such a very nice, down to Earth, lovely couple, I will never forget this day. I flew into Mexico City from San Antonio, Texas to see their show with my daughter in Mexico City, tomorrow, 10/21/2023. I absolutely love this band. Jimmy and Emily are such wonderful folks, a class act.
I was hoping to get a clue to who she rather be....the Beatles or the Rolling Stones.
