- Going though old videos and watching this one just makes me smile everytime. The old Mini DV footage is super dark and rough, but man there is just something about seeing that many trucks throwing that many sparks that just brings back such good memories. I can almost smell the hot steel through the screen!
Circa 2004. 12 Trucks from a variety of local clubs all getting together to light up the freeway for 14 miles without stopping. Back in the day when Arizona's 51 freeway had the absolute smoothest asphalt this side of the Mississippi.
Wish we could go back in time and film this again in HD (and a drone), but I suppose there's a nostalgia to the low res footage.

Golden days. Late 90s early 2000s golden

Does bring back allot of memories!!
Damn I remember this in the surface video when it came out. This is so cool. 👍👍
Why did I just receive this on my recommendations lol AWESOME
Thats in phoenix AZ. I actually recognize some of those trucks. Looks like they dragged the entire 51 freeway. Dope i probably noticed those drag marks back in the day, never seen it in person glad someone recorded that.
Yep! It's the entire 51 from the 101 to Thomas that night
The time is now. Round em up drag them and fly over! Its only been 16 years
SPARK IT OR PARK IT!!!
Amazed they didn’t get pulled over for this is this not illegal ?
Beautiful!
Man I wish I still had my Dakota. It would have been nice to do this.
This music makes me want to play Quake!
I always watch the video 2-3 times a year and it's always cool!
Why doesn't anyone in the USA do that anymore?
Kind regards, OCWX
Germany
Most of the us isn’t cultured properly anymore
The trend unfortunately died. Kids these days don't customize anything.
And, money....this was filmed back when trucks were cheap and gas was cheaper.
@@mephInc es, that's a shame. Unfortunately it's exactly the same here in Germany - young people would rather buy a GTI than build something themselves!
And we still have the Spoilsports of the Police and TÜV in Germany.🤮
This video is old but still one of the best!🤘
MFG OCWX
@@mephIncthey’re still out there bagging and bodydropping, but these builds are so outrageously stupid expensive they don’t build them to destroy them. I remember when a roll pan was $100. Weld it on and go drag that shit off and laugh about it. Now it’s 28x14 or bigger billet wheels and riding as low as possible without dragging it lol.
Love this video, fuckin sick
Fuck yes!!!
which type of metal sparks so hard?
Some of them had cut OEM leaf spring steel into 6"-8" strips that were welded to bottom of the truck frame rails. Leaf springs are made of a hardend steel which will last a long time.
Titanium drag blocks are way cooler, lol
Awesome. That's what I call enjoying your life.
so what is actually keeping this from happening again? forgive my ignorance, im canadian.
Nothing really. Just don't think people are doing it crazy anymore.
people gotta nut up and giver more
Loved this in High School still awesome today brings back fond memories
Sick af but fucks up the paint and any glass or plastic
Only if you're riding behind it you have to know where to put the blocks or whatever you use
